My battery life on OpenDesire v1.5 isn't too great atm :(
 
wow loving the xmarks app from the store, fantastic, for those who don't use xmarks its free on the pc, and works with most browsers, the app is only 99p or something, lets you sync all your bookmarks and passwords, i have used it for ages on my 3 pc's and now with the google one you can make a custom list from you existing bookamrks and just drag them over. awesome,
 
Just noticed sparta 1.3 is out as of yesterday. Do I need to do a wipe/flash or can I just flash straight over the top of 1.2?
 
Flash on top then reflash the kernel you were using if you installed a custom one.
 
cheers chums. One more thing though, I keep recieving texts from 'Anonymous' with a blank text. At least once a day sometimes more, iffing me off tbh. Using handcent but don't think that could be it, any ideas?

I get that.
I dont use handcent, but i have noticed that it happens when the phone decides to restart itself...
 
Odd.
Mine does every now and then. Usually after its been doing loads and charging at the same time, from heat i asume.
 
If I want to try a different Kernal with a ROM, do I simply put both on the SD card - flash the ROM, reboot and then go back to recovery to flash the Kernal? Or Can I just do both at the same time (one after the other)?
 
Never had any random reboots here.

Fancy a change since all these new ROM's are about, What do you all suggest ?

I'm on PAYS Sparta 1.2

Thinking of BraveSoul or Defrost 1.8 ?

Martin: I just put the kernel onto the sd and booted into recovery then flashed, You don't need to change ROM to change kernel.
 
My phone used to randomly restart itself, mainly when using the Handcent app. This only happened when I underclocked the CPU. Once I set the MAX in SetCPU to 844800 or above, I have had no random reboots since.
 
Not had any restarting issues although today ive been using my phone to take some pictures and when i go to look at them on pc via usb there not there, go back to camera on phone and they are there in gallery, weird....? can they be stored on the phone at all?
 
Is there anyway to put toggle switches in the notification area on the desire ??

edit found it not hard really top of the list lol, i think ill do this in working hours as Im positive changing my radio will give me simlock, i might even pre purchase a unlock code asive heard some orange users unable to get them when they supply their imei numbers :(
