DEcided to try rooting my phone last night, did it with ease was basically similar to flashing my PSP.

Decided to install DJ Droid as linked 3 posts above me and its really good, no problems and installing apps to SD is a bonus. Also my battery life has became a lot better, which im glad as i was disappointed with it before.
 
I'm torn between sense and launcherpro!!! I like some of the sense stuff, just wish the launcher for it was better!!

I'll ask again though, I'm running sparta 1.3 with uvoc kernel, did anyone figure out how to stop the sync logo from permanently being in the status bar?

Any chance of linking to this procedure would like to see if the fps get improved.
 
Confused as to what froyo Rom I should get... OD1.6 or the dj one with old apps2sd....

Anyone wanna help ?
 
Anyone else on Orange having major issues with anything internet related?

Facebook app gives the below error:

search error. Please try again later. [Host is unresolved: api.facebook.com:80]

Internet doesn't work, won't even load up Google.

I'm looking at flashing to DJDroid, but I'm a bit confused.

First, I use ROM Manager to flash, I'm assuming I can do this with DJDroid, its just the XDA forum page is on about fake flash.

Also, for flashing the radio, he says reboot into recovery and install radioupdate.zip on the SD. First, the radio download is actually called 32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04.zip, do I need to rename this? And then I just install this from the root of the SD, is that right?
 
Just boot into recovery, wipe, flash the ROM, reboot and skip first setup steps and boot into recovery again (holding volume down + power) then wipe and then choose the option to flash zip from SD which is the radio update zip file (doesn't matter about name).

If you want to use Apps2SD then just flash the Apps2SD zip file at this point too I guess!

Make sure all files are on the root of your SDCard too.

Still confused:p Like I say, I've always used ROM Manager, can I just use this to install the ROM? I've started up in recovery mode but not sure how to wipe, is it Clear Storage? Don't want to select this if its going to wipe my SD!!!

Ah in that case you'd need a different recovery loader because ROM Manager loader loads via rom manager (it's a bit different with different options).

Get AM Desire Recovery as that would be a better option.
