Where for example would i buy something random, like a 15m HDMI cable, or any other random connector or obscure item. I'd have to literally trawl the web looking for one which suited me at the right pricepoint and quality to meet the task in hand. What about random car parts, for which the only other option would be contacting a main dealer who will have to order them from germany at huge cost.

Ebay its all under one "roof", i can type "Mercedes crank sensor", or "15M HDMI", or "Garden Tiller" into the same box, find a fantastic deal on all three, and have them all ordered within 5 minutes.

Surely people understand that? Its just a huge shopping mall.

For stuff like this .... eBay really is the best

Connectors / Cables , cheap little random things which aren't high end brand names which get copied, it is great.

For branded clothes / sunglasses etc. its a nightmare (unless you're happy to buy copies)
 
1982-88 really was the time that taste forgot :(

(Musically* as well as sartorially :( :( )

*apart from The Safety Dance by Men Without Hats which has been scientifically prooven to be the best song ever written :p
