Anybody been able to find the apk for Google Voice Search for 2.2? It just force closes everytime I try to use it.
 
VCARDS!! people keep sending me them as i try and sort out my wedding.... yet i can't do anything with them? i click on the attachment as it says imported, but frig knows where, i search but nothing! - any advice?
 
Well, I just had to reformat and repartition my SD card, I don't know why but the phone reported it as damaged and needed reformatting.

I assume it's because of the multiple ROM flashings with EXT and so on...perhaps.

When i imported one it put it under the phone address book?

click on menu-people-menu-view-phone-done.

See if they are displayed now?

I have now updated to Froyo (DJ Rom Modded)

I have restored a backup from Titanium Backup. When I go into TI and choose the "batch" option and go to "Restore Missing Apps with Data" there are a number of apps which have not been restored (36 in total).

When I choose "run" to see them I notice that its things like "Setup Wizard 1.3" and Sync Feeds 2.1-update1" and "Flickr 1.0" or even apps like "Open Office 2.0"

If I restore them, they still dont appear.


Now I take it I am correct in assuming that they wont restore as they are not compatible with Froyo ??

Also, when I try to "get more HTC widgets", they will download but then dont install... They just dont appear.


Known bugs I take it ??
 
arghghghg annoying.
I've taken a picture that I want to set as a contact picture when the person calls.
However when i select the menu optiion on the photo, and select set as contact picture, it goes to my contacts and will only show my gmail addresses, and not my phone numbers.

Why??
How do I set a manual photo as a contact picture!! It should be so simple but seems to be very hard. :(

Its based on a leaked beta rom i would hope when the full rom is released it will be much better but i wouldn't expect much as we all know HTC don't do mega camera's.
 
It should still download (use status bar as a guide not Market Download area as that will remain slow for approx 1-2 days).

I'm now running OpenDesire 1.6a. Got FroYo up to my level of customisation and Nandroided.

Spent the whole afternoon and evening recreating my SD card setup as I had to reformat and repartition my SD card!

Nope, only if you want to make use of proper apps2ad

A stock 2.2 ROM like OD SHOULD be used though, to get stuff like this working:
