If I were to argue in favour of the ban, I would go about it by saying that I believe it would not be a ban on women wearing the veil as such, it would be a ban on the male dominating the female, dictating what she is to wear and repressing her femininity. A ban on that is something I would gladly argue for.
Banning the veil would be the wrong approach and may make muslims feel more sidelined in their local communities.
