How much will that 'rocco be worth after the 3 years? Around £15,000? £8k in depreciation after 3 years isn't really that bad.
Unless you are paying for someone else's depreciation.

I can only presume that was directed at me, you self righteous arse.[TW]Fox;16949770 said:Here come the as long as You are happy club.
'Hi guys I just paid 50k for a 51 plate Fiesta!'
'Sweet mate as long as You are happy! Doesn't affect anyone else!'
Always a source of thrilling debate.

Every single piece of literature I've read says that customers lose any rights to a "cooling off period" if the agreement is signed on the dealer's or lender's premisis.
I'm sure dealers could offer a period if they wanted to - but I can't see any legal requirement to.
we're discussing depreciating assets bought on finance, which wouldn't depreciate quite as fast if bought nearly new as opposed to new.

Best thing to do when you buy a new car on here is to just say what you bought and post the pics.
Don't mention what you were looking at before
Don't mention the price
Don't mention how you paid for it
Don't mention your job/background
Under these circumstances, it looks like the guy has got a perfectly ordinary new car finance deal coupled with half decent car.
These circumstances are horrible for the OP. £275 a month for 36 months for a borrowed car! He has to give it back in the end and is left with nothing!
found a 2nd hand 1.4 TSI 160hp, 18'' alloys on AT,done 3000 miles from a VW dealership within driving distance.
sorely tempted IF I can cancel, thoughts?
But he knows thatSome people just want a new car every few years and don't want to kick up £20k of cash up front.

That really isn't the point. Him knowing it and being happy with it doesn't stop it being an enormous waste of money nor does it protect him from criticism when he posts details of his deal on a public forum.
He originally wanted a used Golf for £12k and ended up with a new Scirocco on PCP.
Monthly payments were more than I thought so asked about leasing.
