I get that too.
Im asuming its a feature of Orange. lol.
I have a problem with my phone at the moment, but I dont know if its a feature of the phone or handcent is rubbish, but when I put the phone in sleep mode and take it out by pressing the power button I get the last message I received as a notification in the bar that you slide down to unlock.
It doesn't go away even if I go to notifications and clear.
Anyone else have that or know why it keeps appearing.

Have you turned off notifications in the default message app? that's all I can think of!
Anyone on defrost g having issues with appbrain?
The sync part is ok but searching just times out with no results, also the rest of the menus are sluggish and take ages to load up apps in each category

i feel like im the only one who has not rooted on this thread, i have no reason too other than i would like to remove the tmobile branding on boot up as im on vodafone
Me neither, I'm really lazy though, for example, I got the phone on launch and barely customised it until this month!

I'm on Opendesire 2 and have had the same problem this evening. App Brain is almost unusable. Maybe a problem with their servers.

Adb drivers are installed correctly, I am able to sync using HTC Sync, I am able to get the serial number via the adb devices command, I have used to a hex editor to insert the code from the goldcard.img file.
I really feel like I'm chasing my tail. Really wished I recieved a unbranded model. OMG FFS etc etc.
Any insight would be extremely welcomed!

I haven't rooted either, the only thing I am looking forward to is APP2SD, as I frequently run out of memory

You don't need to root to remove branding iirc.
Defrost 2.0g battery usage (posted it on XDA too):
Yup battery drain is defnitely better for me. I did a long test yesterday, unplugged @ 100% last night at 12:20am and checked this morning when I got into work. It's worth noting that I did watch some The Onion videos in the bath this morning and browse emails and stuff while doing the morning poop (what, TMI?! deal with it!)
Anyways, here's the lowdown:
^ @ 79%, the Display % was at like 15 before I started using it in the morning so I think there still is a display power usage issue and once this is resolved in stock based FroYo ROMs the I should be able to see even better battery life
I estimate I should be able to go the rest of the day at work without having to charge the phone but I do have the USB cable ready just in case!
Again, I had wifi on (sleep policy set to never when USB connected), HSDPA enabled, normal running so no other tweaks.
All I have done is installed the last Radio release Richard posted about (the one with the unknown changes IIRC).
I am happy I guess!
