Sure you flashed the correct ROM then
Your filename naming schema is also incorrect for Defrost, the h264 camcorder update saves filenames how they are shown on my screenshot so I think you have not flashed the correct ROM or may need a full wipe then flash of 2.1.
Remember i asked about the EXT partition, I think that is still causing issues.
I will wipe and upgrade to EXT4 for DeFrost 2.1.
I flashed 'DeFroST_2.0f.zip' So i think it is the remnants of Sparta 1.3 on the EXT partition.

Another thing, The .ico and .ini file for the Desire icon via USB connection, My .ini file keeps disappearing !!
Why do we need a roadmap? The individual devs don't really seem to plan the future releases.
Defrost is fully working isn't it?
Finally got around to using unrevoked to install the custom recovery, loved the bit when it said wait 5 seconds because windows sucks then wait another 3 seconds because it really does, it had actually already finished before the second wait message appeared 
bugger, just flashed it, where do you get your APN settings from? just googled it and have some settings to try
I just Googled desire t-mobile apn settings first hit worked

As Steve Jobs confirms that all smart phones loose signal when held in a certain way, how is everyone finding the issue with the Desire?

Its not what i was expecting though, was hoping it was a complete car interface for common 'car apps', but its just a launcher for app shortcuts.
I havnt rooted, you can remove the branding without rooting, like i did.i feel like im the only one who has not rooted on this thread, i have no reason too other than i would like to remove the tmobile branding on boot up as im on vodafone

I've gone back to stock, unrooted now. Missed all the Sense bits and pieces!

gotta say i think i agree, i often hold my phone upside down when im in a weak signal area to boost it.

All sorted thank god, dont want to be doing another usb brick in a hurry
I had it for 2 days, battery drain was too high though, gone back to deFrost.
I don't know what you mean by launcher, it was just the stock phone. I hadn't rooted it or anything. The error happened as soon as I turned the phone on and got past the sim card unlock bit. I've hard resetted the phone now so it's gone. Thanks heh.
