Mustang

Thanks, for that, awaiting a reply from Adrian Flux and RH Specialist, A-Plan want LHD experience, MCE want £1700.00 but only listed a Shelby GT500.

Andi.
Suprised about MCE, my first years insurance with them was ~£450 (at the time the Mustang was 2 years old, a few mods and I was 32)

EDIT: Just realised you were quoting against a GT500, is the car you are looking at super-charged?

No plain GT version http://www.billshepherdmustang.com/index.php?option=com_ezautos&task=detail&id=105&Itemid=26 . I've spoken to Bill Shepherd and they recommended MCE but gave me a name to talk to so I'll ring in the morning.

Don't tell the wife, she doesn't know yet! :D

Ugh I accidentally closed the window, I had some stuff written out, but basically everything that has been said is what I'd have said.

Bill Shepherd is something most UK owners would recommends, including the owners clubs.I believe they do they correct light conversion.

Adrian flux have insured me at 25 for £900.

The only thing that did put me off riding in a stock one was the ride was a little soft and especially in Jersey with smaller roads and probably more "aggressive" corners, it rolled a bit. But mine has had all the lowering/stiffened/antiroll bar/sway brace stuff done.

One of these is starting to sound really appealing to me - how long did it take you to get used to driving a LHD on this country's roads ?

Just like people do when they take their car abroad.
I got used to it, oh.. within the first gear change :P

As terrified as I was with the current owner in the passenger seat on unfamiliar UK roads in the wet, eep!

OK guys, where are your Mustang pictures?

Andi.

Classics are and always will be the best, but the new mustangs especially in black or dark grey look amazing. I think its just to how butch they look

Would love to own one

Ok deal done. £368 with MCE - somewhat less than the on-line quote of £1700

Set to collect tomorrow afternoon Thursday.

Thanks for all the help advice and encouragement :)

I suppose it will be one of those things you can easily get used to, and if you can't...I'll gladly have the car :) lol

but seriously, driving around in that and listening to the roar of the engine must feel so good

It's nowhere near as loud as I thought it would be and a huge amount quieter than my Cobra was
