It's one thing to be honest, but another to be out-right rude.
The end result is that the rest of us don't get to see now it![]()
ETC
Yet he hasn't posted a single picture in this thread of any of his own exotica? At least if someone doesn't like what I've said about their car, mine is in clear view to be slaughtered
In fact, it's been a while...

There's no need to be rude though.
It's one thing to be honest, but another to be out-right rude.
to be fair....you guys were harsh to him and throwing your personal attacks around about his car etc....yeah youre welcome to your opinion but theres a polite way of saying it rather than pushing someones buttons! Then as soon as he says something in return (yeah a bit ott with the swearies) hes the one in the wrong :S few people need to grow up and respect other peoples choices of cars wether in your eyes its the wrong choice or not, end of the day, not your car, not your money.
Well it's certainly not a disgrace of a car, maybe a bit of trend following. Captain_Slick came out with one of his cretinous comments as per usual and someone's taken exception to it. It's the way /\ndy reacted that opened the floodgates of abuse. No need to tell anyone to **** off on a forum, if you can't take someone else's opinion then don't post the car..
Calling a car crap isn't particularly nice though, so it is somewhat unfair for only /\ndy to be reprimanded.
In all fairness, it was quite funny though
Someone's put time and effort into that car, and it looks nice and tidy. If someone called mine crap I'd tell them to **** off as well![]()
I think there are far more civil and polite way of giving your opinion on a car. You wouldn't take the same approach in a real social situation, so why should the internet be any different?
I also believe the comments on his car were far more "personal" than him simply saying '**** off'.
What are you going on about? The internet is different to real life for many many reasons.
If I had said "Your car looks rubbish and so do you", you might have had a point.
He's expressed an opinion that his car looks good (by doing it in the first place) - we expressed an opinion that it looks crud. Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing

How on earth can attacking someones car on the internet be a personal attack?
I think your post is best suited to a GD joke thread.

Thats what I was trying to point out, that an opinion of a car cant possibly be a personal attack
I do like Polos but (any car -ed) that looks like that makes me snigger![]()
Calling a car rubbish/crap etc isn't the same as saying "I don't like the styling" or "it's not to my taste"
