Oh now this just sucks.

I had this a few months ago, it wasn't so much fun. I live in a house with 5 other students though and they got away scot free due to me being careful and properly cleaning up after myself. It then came around again a month later with one of my other housemates then everyone got it, so it proves that if you are careful you can stop it spreading. I got the last laugh though 'cause I was immune second time round :D They suddenly started regretting calling me a wuss ;)

Actually, Alcohol gel is far more effective than soap alone. Water does not wash off bacteria. Use the hand gel with hot water and soap to be sure. Not just one or the other.

As said, not true, alcohol gel is only use on visibly clean hands as it will only kill bacteria directly exposed to the gel, if you have solid matter on your hands (euw) then the bacteria not on the surface will survive.

Also alcohol gel will not kill viruses (norovirus/astrovirus etc..) or spores (C.difficile).

A hospital I worked at found that if you swabbed a room in which a norovirus patient had stayed viral DNA could be found on every wall to about shoulder height. Gross.

I dont get sick, Because im awesome :D

I use to think that, I have a very strong immune system and I had gone for over 8 years without catching anything other than the common cold (and only having the annoying nose symptoms).

But at around spring something got through and oh boy did I get hit hard by flu, I spent almost an entire week with a nasty headache, muscle ache, stomach ache, high fever and nausea.
It's just a matter of time before something gets you and poop hits the fan.
