Mustang

Looks like they have improved the taurus, ours was a bit crap. Seemed to drive good in the new hampsire winters though.

Forget about the Mustang, this is what I'd buy...

I imagine that's because they are paying him a fair wack to say so!

no they're not

The 2011 GT is a brilliant car, they dont need to pay anybody. The independant reviews have all been glowing.

Remember they are buying it in the US where the 2011 5.0 GT V8 with lots of options is around $35,000, if you were living there and not importing it, that puts it around £24,000 so the same cost of a hot hatch.

So what will it be, Golf GTI or Ford Mustang GT 5.0 with 400 odd bhp ??? Touch choice at their petrol price. not

A golf GTi is only $23,664 over there though. $35k is pretty much base spec 328i money apparently, so it probably wouldn't even have leather :(.

Converting $ to £ and then comparing the £ price of for something in the UK is retarded, hth.

I'm not saying the new Mustang isn't good because I have no idea, but im pretty positive Ford purchase adverts on NBC to say the least.

Mustang starts from $22,000 for the V6 version which is 300 HP and does 0-60 in 5.6 seconds. Did I mention it averages 37 miles to the imperial gallon too. Still have the golf GTI ?

I'm illustrating a point - the mustang offers incredible value when you consider the cost of its german rivals.

Certainly not, I would take the mustang any day. I was just pointing out you can't really compare the golf to a GT.

The GTi would come with all the toys the base spec Mustang doesn't have though...
