Clarkson's plate? CTU 131N? I don't get it.
He was making anagrams out of the letters on the other James/Richars's car's plates shortly before a long shot of Clarkson's plate which contains the letters **** but not in that order.
As for the "last Top Gear" ever comment. I think this is because American English is creeping in. Americans would call the last 6 episodes "Top Gear season 15" wheras we would call it "Top Gear series 15". Americans then use the term "series" to refer to the entire run of the show, right back to the days when Quentin Bloody Wilson was presenting it.
If you use American English, "The last episode of the series" means the show just ended for good, but what we just watched was the "season finale"

I have to say i was relieved to see James May come into the car park at Hethel and not drive into JC's car... then he even went a bit geeky on a few points and found Nobbys artwork. Much prefered that.
