Put the card under your gfx card a slot lower, maybe 2.... Warmth wants to go up so you best set your top fans to exhaust instead of intake! Get cool air from the bottom or front of the case... that's just my opinion
I find Kombuster is pretty weak for testing max heat.
OCCT will push it far harder.
As a comparison, I get 80C load @ 60% fan in OCCT @ 800/1600/4000 @ 1.000V
For those that have just purchased a 460, NVIDIA are giving away 5 free games if you register on their site.
You need to upload a photo of the card and serial number and it's limited to the first 50 entries,
Games are Metro,Just Cause2,StreetFighter,Dark Void and RE5

This.I saw the link but completely forgot about the pic with me holding it before I put it in. not sure I can be bothered taking it out and hasn't it expired now anyway?
Fans both set to exhaust now and I've taken the SB card out, dropped idle temp by 7/8c.

I'll run the benchmark again now and post some pics to see responses. I'm a newbie to this so thanks for your patience, but will the card have been done any damage reaching the heights of 98c?
Mine needed 1.0v to be stable at that.
Currently running 850/1700/4200 @ 1.037v.
Trying the exact same on my Giga with those settings, but as soon as I start OCCT the errors come flooding in! What voltage are you using Hex? And what exactly do errors mean? Mine had 0 at 800/1600/400 @ stock voltage.
What res should I be running OCCT at? And fullscreen or not?
Thanks guys!![]()
