the JG5 or something nothing speical , repeated the BM test and got anywhere between 500 and 1000 less

Regardless of sores phones a lot better so i'm happy

There will hopefully be an improved 1 click lag fix tomorrow that will should improve speed a little more and offer another 700MB of app storage space.

AH what!? i must do it again? ah well, hopefully its easy to do it ontop of the current lag fix? all this stuff scares me that i'll brick my phone rofl.

Anybody tried the Home launcher called GDE, got it lastnight and love it, was using LauncherPro, but GDE has fancy home screen animations such as cubed or flip or stretch, very nicely done... worth a test run

Upgrade day...very tempted to get this just a bit concerned about the lag

Looks like a very nice device though and as I've always been a hardware keyboard user this screen is probably big enough for me to use for typing

I found that since doing the above lag fix and installing GDE, may Galaxy S is sooo responsive, I keep opening things accidentally with the slightest touch on the screen...
The phone is well worth the upgrade and the lag fix takes only 1 minute.

How safe is it to do what you guys are doing it? I don't want to brick my phone but i want more speed out of it

Basically impossible, if it goes wrong just put back into download mode and flash with odin. If you search on you tube there is a good video explaining everything

I have not flashed any rom's/firmware's, still using it as supplied, just did the root and lag fix and install a replacement Home, originally tried LauncherPro which is great, but now on GDE, and installed several apps from the market, nothing to alter the phone in any way bar the root and lag fix, and I am well happy with my phone, but then I upgraded from an N97

id say best on xp as there have been a few small issues on vista and windows 7 64bit editions. Hope this helps

Just done the 1 click root and 1 click lag fix.

Quadrant score 1997. is this good. Not done it before.

edit.

Just done the lag fix again (dont think I had busybox installed)

rerun Quadrant 2086.

Small improvement.
