Samsung Galaxy S... highest spec Android phone released... also with QWERTY!

One Click Lag Fix 2.0

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=751864

Benefits over version 1

1.7GB of application data available, with no data loss.
e2fsck of the EXT2 partition on each boot.
Correct busybox version included! YES!
/app directory included in the fix for faster application installs.
Mounts instead of symlinks for extra performance as OS does less work (about 100 or so more quadrant).

A heads up to anyone who like me hadn't updated the firmware that there's an official update now on Kies.

It's updated the phone to JM1.

I'd only had the phone a couple of days but I've noticed the gps seems to get a lock much quicker (it seems to have these gps settings now by default: http://samsunggalaxysforums.com/showthread.php/548-I-found-this-GPS-fix-to-work-for-me other than “Operation Mode” which is still default, it's added a task manager and it all seems a lot smoother.

Note the process does factory reset your phone.

Right a friend has this phone and is trying to accept calls, when the phone rings a green and red button appears. However pressing either of these buttons does nothing neither does pressing any of the three buttons at the bottom.

Any ideas?

Drag the green button to the right.

Not for me :) an Orange contract phone here, Kies shows nothing (unless i'm doing it wrong, I presume I just press "update firmware" and it should say there is a new version?)

just whack whichever one you want on VIA odin youtube will explain all. In all seriousness I had more problems getting kies to see my phone then I did flashing the thing with ODIN:rolleyes::p

I dunno if anyone has noticed but there is a strange "phasing" effect on some of the EQ settings using the media player for music. It turns out there is a loudness equalization on the phone that you cannot remove by default.

Someone has come up with a fix for it but I can't for the life of me figure out how to apply it...

Has anyone else noticed this issue? It's particularly apparent with headphones that are better than the stock ones bundled with the phone.
