rFactor F1

You beat that any ways didn't you unKn0wn? Sure you were only a few tenths off mine, that is a time from Japan right? ;p

As for Spa I'm still in the 51s

I dont think I did. But I will! :)

Welcome Witor

Im going to get the new config file sorted and tested later on tonight. New tracks for the weekend. :)

Going to have a go on this shortly. Despite being hugely slower than everyone else this is a really good mod and I'm enjoying playing.

Is there nothing you can install on the server to record lap times? I had a quick google and found This, which looks like it might be quite good, it would be nice to see target times to beat and would give some incentive to stay on the server when no-one else is about too.

With fsone09 for example, how do people get their setups right for the cars? I don't have a clue where to start with them :p

Its Trial and Error. You can google setup guides. I did found a handy one. Happy to email it to you.
You could always check RfactorCentral for setup files.

I saw that on RfactorCentral. It's a great idea!

Config file uploaded and tested. Current tracklist with download links in order of tracks is:

Belgium/Spa
Japan/Suzuka
Monte Carlo/Monaco
Turkey/Istanbul
Malaysia/Sepang

Links will be updated when Log1k has them on his site.

Well thats the order they appear on the config file.
When I say tested I mean they all load. I haven't raced the tracks yet. The old two should still be fine

P.S. Sorry Maxi. Didnt mean to kick you when I was scrolling through the trackilst.

It should work. Its the one we're all using. Have you selected the mod from the menu? Then restarted the game, then tried to join the server? Thats the method I use.

Also. Have you patched to ver.2.0?

Im out tonight. I'll be on tomorrow and Sunday afternoon/evening.

It's quite hard if you approach if with no experience at all, granted. Becomes much easier once you manage to obtain a good setup for a given track, as does your ability to tailor setups to both differing tracks and your own style of driving.

If you need F1 RFT or FSOne setups, ive got loads of my own and those of "top" players.

F1 mods are very hard to get used to. Setups etc are difficult to make but some basic things to remember is just aero, ride height and tyres.

Knowing the tracks is key, knowing that Spa is a low downforce track is key for speed. Suzuka is quite high on downforce. More wing needed for mid to high speed corners. I'll do a basic guide shortly of my 1:49.500 Spa setup.

I've just checked and I can see it. I believe someone mentioned that rFactor only lists "x" number of servers.

Keep refreshing, it's definately there.

Downloading the maps and then I will come on for a few attempts at going around without hitting every barrier and going off every corner.
