Wow indeed. They spent millions on that setup and got caught because they were too cheap to pay the electric bill so they decided to steal it.

The electricity company probably would have noticed an abnormality in their power consumption had they decided to go down the legal route and pay for the electricity. Possibly the only way to run such a setup would be an isolated supply run from generators.
Almost looks like the set from an evil genius' lair in a film!

In the US and the UK, it is almost only worth growing pot to sell if you steal the electricity. Otherwise, you can't make money on it.
