Trance is so vastly misunderstood...

Lmao - you **** my taste and then go and post this heaping lump of cheddar! I can guarantee all those tunes i've posted having been massive with every respectable trance dj there is and when trance was good and clubs like gatecrasher were at their peak!

Calm down mate, I don't like what you've posted, you don't like mine. It's that simple, no decade is better than the other, it's all down to personal taste, I can accept that and so should you :)

(ps 'my' trance is more massive than yours llololollllol)

btw, I <3 you Ronny K:

Had fun at SW4 on Saturday.

Jerome Isma-Ae rocked, Emery had a strong start, weak middle, and acceptable finish, and Ottaviani was awesome!

I was also there! Did you find the sound in the "Gallery" tent to be a bit off' I was standing near the front and actually battled to identify some of the tracks. I dunno, just sounded a bit weird to me.

Armin's finale was pretty epic.

The sound is never very good at SW4, but I enjoy it for the experience. Didn't stay til the end because of the downpour, headed home just before 8.

I thought the sound was better last year, but then the Gallery tent was where the Bedrock tent was this year so it's not a fair comparison.

We sat on a park bench outside SW4 at 20h50 and the sound was crystal clear! I guess all those people and their shouting was messing it up.

Surprised no-one's posted this yet (unless I missed it or it was one of the now-unavailable links):

I consider this to be Daniel Kandi's best ever remix. From 2:19 onward is simply spine-tingling.

A couple more:

This one has a beautiful baseline.

Probably been mentioned before but hey the guy deserves another mention.

I don't follow music trends and genres becasue I don't have any friends to force me into a 'scene', but I have never been able to really differentiate most electronic music so I simply don't label it.

I see trance as more synth and less bass, something that has an underlying atmosphere that you don't need to be in a club to experience. A lot of it sounds like filler though, and I don't like those bits. Sometimes I just skip to the point!

One of my faves:

Obvious classic - Used to play this a lot when I was at school/college.

Another fave

I tend not to follow music much anymore, if anything decent and new is out there... I won't have heared. Any introverts out there know a good source of hearing some new stuff?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
I LOOOOVE THAT SONG

I use it when running for the hard parts! I can listen to it on loop for 2 hours and still be smiling at the end

Can anyone recommend a list of compilations/albums to buy. I really need some more trance in my life :)

I have been playing parade of the athletes and kevin and perry OST forever!

It isn't misunderstood, it is pretty generic and cheesy mostly. I liked it when I was 14 in 1999 and knew no better. Seen PVD etc, But if you know about music you know trance is rubbish. Techno, House and even Dubstep is what you should be listening to these days.

Maybe there is a massive underground scene I am not familiar with but most of this stuff sounds very commercial and samey to me.

Cheesy vocals and same dum dum dum beat. erughhh.

Runs.
