I'd expect a courtesy car if I was buying from a franchised dealer. BMW gave me brand new 3 Series courtesy cars free of charge when I had £90 services on my 100,000 mile+ car, let alone if something they had sold me broke!
that's a service which you presumably booked, allowing them to arrange the resource, if I was dumping my car at a dealership at short notice I would not expect a courtesy car. Point in case my headlight fell out on the motorway (scary as its the size of a small car) I dropped it off for repair and had to get the tube home, that cost the best part of five grand to fix but I got no courtesy car

I usually book one or two days in advance. They have always been able to accommodate, and would expect them to do so if it was broken, even if it meant them hiring a premium car for me.that's a service which you presumably booked, allowing them to arrange the resource, if I was dumping my car at a dealership at short notice I would not expect a courtesy car. maybe I just expect less
maybe I just expect less, given my outlook I'll only ever be pleasantly surprised
just looking through my warranties I get courtesy car cover but all this is subject to availability and are not a like for like replacement (guess they have to cover that!)
Im telling you, they owe you **** all, except to fix your car if its got a warranty.
This is also my opinion and reasonably extensive experience![]()
i've never liked the sound of this car from the moment you posted it.
I was chastised for saying that they were trying to get rid of a lemon quickly. Hate to say i told you so but ...
Who cares, I got one because I asked for one, my car will get sorted because its under warranty right now its sat there with no mileage being added waiting for Toyota to run a diagnoses on it whilst I put miles on someone elses car, you really have to ask yourself what your problem is, its as if you want it to turn out badly, everything you have said so far in this thread and the last has turned out to be nothing more than a pessimistic opinion, maybe in the future you should try applying "dont ask dont get"

But instead of listening you just had a go at us all, as you continue to do, even in the OP - when you know we are right.
As it stands now you are not entitled to a refund, they are being pretty reasonable, and you must allow them to fix it.
Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear.
I dont want a refund

Ok now i've calmed down after panic posting
Everytime I speak to the GM he sorts me out he seems to be really wanting to get this sorted, its everytime I speak to the people who dont have a clue that I end up getting frustrated and stressed out
So I picked up the courtesy car up last night and I feel better about the whole situation i'm quite happy to leave the car with them and wait and see what Toyota say, my Corolla isnt a lemon or at least I dont think it is and i've driven it and seen it, there isnt a mark on it, it drives smoothly and pulls very very well, the gear changes are smooth just because its had a battery replaced under warranty and now its having a noise inspected doesnt make it a bad car and the fact that I have confirmation from the GM that if Toyota say that it needs anything it will be covered under the warranty reasures me greatly.
Its only five year old with one owner and full history with the same main Toyota dealer, i've spoken to that dealer and the most work its ever had done is discs and pads.
I'm really looking forward to finding out what the noise is and getting the car back now that i've calmed down a bit and received a courtesy car. Thanks for the advice everyone.
Alright calm down, try to take some deep breaths, thats it, step away from the internets a for bit maybe.
My point is, it doesnt matter, I have a courtesy car, please see last post again as I CBA to repeat myself, thanks![]()
