Well it's coming to that time again, charts and sites are out for the Autumn seasons; ref:

(hopefully that'll work, imageshack is blocked here at work so I'm working blind here ... if not I'll fix it later)

and also see:
http://countdown.mandragon.info/upcoming.html

At the moment I'll express an interest in:

Stardriver Radiant Takuto
Kuragehime
Bakuman
Soredemo Mawatteriu (*)
Shinryaku! Ika Musume
The World God Only Knows (*)
Otome Youkai Zakuro
Yosuga No Sora (**)
A Certain Magical Index S2 (**)
Sora No Otoshimono Forte (**)
To Love Ru Motto
My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute (*)
MM! (*)
Fortune Arterial Red Promise (**)
Hidimari Sketch OVA (**)
ToHeart2 adnext OVA (**)
Tantei Opera
Yumeiro Prof

Where the number of *'s indicates the probability of actually following the series/OVA. But as usual I'll probably end up only watching a couple of them anyway due to time contraints :(

Are they all dubs or just new shows from japan so no english yet?

Yes, it's the fall 2010 shows to be broadcast in Japan ... probably see some of them on R1 2012/2013 at the earliest (excluding any simulcast deals Crunchyroll/Funimation cut for streaming).

And at last ... some news about the replacement of Toradora disks

Before we let you go, we'd like to let our fans and customers, who submitted their information for the replacement disc website, know that we will be shipping the re-mastered discs out at the end of September. For those who submitted your information, we will email you more detailed information regarding the replacement discs soon. Thank you very much for your patience and understanding.

So they may be shipped out around the same time as the second boxset.

Well finished rewatching Full Metal Panic season one, but this time the remastered Blu-ray release. It is, of course, letter boxed 4:3 but it does look very good despite being an up-scale. I'm sure people will pick holes in the video quality but the underwater shots of the Tuatha De Danaan (for instance) look a lot better to me.

The downsides are that Funi seems to have left the video off completely from the ED on episode 24, (you have the seagulls flying and then just blackness with scrolling text and the ED theme). You also loose the character copyright notices from the ADV release, although the Japanese versions are included (subbed) in the extras on the third disk. The packaging indicates that the three disks which make up the series are both Region A and Region B.

The other series I finished watching is My Bride is a Mermaid. Hmmmm .... it's a reasonable series although it does seem to not really go anywhere at times. Similar humour to Hayate so if you like that you'll probably like this.

But Funi have screwed up the ED on Pt 2 of the series .... basically instead of the ED animation they have a static capture from it which gradually zooms out as the credits scroll, (and as it's a zoomed capture it is rather fuzzy). They state that this is because of an issue with the source they were given by Japan and they didn't want to delay the release ... personally I'd have preferred a delayed release with the correct ending.

edit:

Also read the Please Teacher manga which was pretty good, although one of the relationships between the minor characters is changed with respect to the anime and as it is only two volumes some things are cut down a bit (e.g. the main female characters mother barely gets a mention).

Just started watching FullMetal Alchemist:Brotherhood. This is a friggin' masterpiece, and a emotions rollercoaster too...The death of Nina and her dog,The death of Lt Hughes, the moment you hear Hughes'wife cry and her little kid tells her not to Or has his burial when the little one asks why the people bury him, cause at this way he couldn't continue his work so he could be home again soon......On the other hand:we have Lt Armstrong :D

EDIT:Even the music choice is perfect...

Still think I prefer the original anime, left the door open for more fun.

The ending on Brotherhood basicly implies that humans don't need magical abilities to live, which I find a bit silly since FMA they make it out that Alchemy was achieved through years of heavy research, etc.

At the moment these seem to be ones I may like....
Stardriver Radiant Takuto (It's Bones and I seem to like their shows)
Ironman (purely due to it being ironman lol)
Psychic Detective Yakumo
Letter Bee Reverse - really liked the first one so hopefully this will follow suit
Tagainu No Chi (I think thats what it says)
Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls
The World God Only Knows (Plot reminds me a little of Nyan Koi)
A certain Magical Index (first series pretty good, the side story of 'scientific railgun' wasn't so good)
To Love Ru Motto
Sora no Otoshimono Forte (first series was pretty good, except for stupid 'tomoki' bits)
Fortune Arterial Red Promise
Super Robot Taisen the inspector (it's mecha and super robots!)

And obviously - Gundam 00 and unicorn movie/ova's as they're due out soon too :)

Normally try to watch the first 1 or 2 episodes of the ones that look good (sometimes ones which aren't listed too) and then keep watching if I do like it :)

Also see the first ep of Broken Blade.

It's like Gundam but <Spoilers>!

At some point humans became magical and don't use computers, and then they find an old gundam-like that baffles them.

</spoiler> :D

Also see ...

For crying out loud, there are no spoiler tags on here (looks at the hairy one in disapproval), think about what you are typing before you type it!

There is a good chance that people haven't seen whatever you are talking about particularly if it is a recent series which, in FMA:B's case, is still in the process of being officially released.:confused::(

Crystlemage; yes I've been to Anime Expo, it was alright and I admit I spent more than I was meaning to at the dealer tables ... but give me a proper anime shop in Japan any day over it.

Naruto is ok for it's genre; I've seen the first couple of series and and some things surprised me but generally it is a genre that I tend to avoid. I haven't seen Deathnote and do not currently have any wish too.

By the way though, what is with the four consecutive single line posts? Are you trying to spam up your post count for free shipping :p? If you forgot to add something in your post you can always do so via the edit button to be found in the bottom right area of your earlier post.

...lol anime kicks ass lol everyone has atleast heard of naruto?

if you rave about anime then only comment on Naruto, you need to watch more ;) naruto is well, *insert rude word here*
Lol who heer has been to anime expo?

the correct spelling is Here, not heer
and no not yet
aah aah who watched the deathnote moviee :)

aah aah? are you a baby? no

yes the first two deathnnote movies were very good tatsuya fujiwara is a legend in the making in my eyes, i hope he don't sell out to hollywood

also as stated above, the edit button is there for a reason, dont quad post it's messy and makes you look stupid :)

on a side note, just dug out some old copy of Mezzo DSA, my god, haven't watched it in years but sooooo good opening theme gives me goosebumps haha

I thought the kids had gone back to school...

Rewatching Tsubasa atm, fun no brainer series, and still has one of the best musical scores ive heard imo. I do hope they make another ova sometime to finish the story.

Thanks for ruining the ending for me:mad:

How can you be mad at me? I didn't give anything away, just stated my opinion on the overall series and why I formed it.

You spoiled a lot more, granted it's only the starting eps, but still the same case in point.
:(

Found some snacks in Tesco the other day called Mikado, basically they are a British version of Pocky
They are ok but have UK taste chocolate, not as tasty as the Japanese ones from cyber candy/mt fuji
