LOL!!!:D

lmao at that damage model....thats brilliant, this game is so going to be a case of average at many - master of none...why theyv added all this crap is beyond me, they should have just stuck to racing and the main gameplay not trying to make cars melt or add 3d or add move, or add a day/night cycle that looks like were living on Jupiter.

problem is some people on here are clearly eating out of sonys hands and acting like this game is the bible or something special (which from what iv seen so far is neither)

could be different on release but i doubt it, if those are recent screenshots then the game is already in production and being slapped onto disks as we speak and the damage has been done (no pun intended) ;)

i kind of agree id take a highly polished single turd than lots of sloppy stuff all over the carpet....

dmage is okay but unless it is implemented well its a waste of effort.

Well I expressed things in this current demo that prove its not final code or indeed the latest code shown.
That's a genuine enough reason for me to also believe then that what we are seeing here is also quite likely not final damage or indeed a complete or full representation to the final game.

And if it is final?

Like I asked him, what proof have you to assume this is final code or indeed final damage?

It's an easy assumption to make with the game being so close to release, very few games change drastically in the last few months before they come out.

Didn't we go down this whole route with Forza? People saying oh the demo is beta code and wont be like that come the full release.

Absolutely nothing at all, personally anyway, but that wasn't my question.

If the damage shown on the other page is final, what will your opinion be then?

Yes it is indeed. I agree but in my mind a knee jerk reaction with no backing or reason to assume it is correct.

I'd question why Polphony Digital would go to all the bother to create the most awesome looking car models in any racing game (Regards Premium Cars) to then add on a half assed damage model. Kaz said long ago they wouldnt implement damage until they could do it properly.

If this is final damage at work then Id guess many GT fans will be livid. I certainly wont try to defend it if/when this is proved to be the case.

Lets see what TGS shows us next week.

Interestingly though, Kaz is quiet happy to ship a game out with only 200 cars that have an interior. That is most unlike the Kaz that you state as the 'prefectionist'.

I'm sorry to harp on about this point, but your blind fanboyism of GT5/Sony/Kaz is somewhat cringeworthy at times, and the sad fact at the moment is that no one knows what the damage will ook like in the final product, but if it is that, then oh dear.

With the quality of the car models being so high, you can't expect a great damage model. Not this gen anyway.

The problem is that peoples expectations get out of control. The same thing happened with the PS3.

Firstly your not sorry at all, as you like doing this.
Id ask you not to be a tool, please as once again your now making stuff up. By all means go and quote me on were I have said as you claim Kaz is a perfectionist.

Like I said I have shown reasons this demo is not final code. Thats is factual the proof is their to be seen. Does that however gurantee the damage model shown is or is not final. No, not at all but I am willing to believe as the code shown is not final or indeed to the most recent build then it is very likley it may be better than what has been shown. Is that so impossible for you or others to believe?

I very much doubt this is the level of damage Kaz would be pleased with, sorry it doesnt seem right when they put so much work into the cars. I can understand trees and crowds being less important but the cars and detail is their forte. We only have to look and see working lights now including even reverse lights modelled and even the active spoilers operating. To fob these cars off with damage that doesnt go beyond what other games have achieved to me wouldnt be in his way of doing things.

Lets see how this pans out...

Maybe I am reading between the lines in the above quotes.

I guess we will just have to suck it and see come release day like we did with Forza.

*snip* at the moment is that no one knows what the damage will ook like in the final product, but if it is that, then oh dear.

Agreed.... More I read about the game, more i'm inclined to think its trying to be a master of all, but will be mediocre of everything at best.

The damage looks completely naff. Oh look, my car hit a wall.. A 'firewall' as it has totally melted the front.. lol

As for having interiors for only 200 of the cars, whilst its great to have all these cars, its going to be ripped in reviews. I'm sure most will only ever use one or two of the premium cars just so as they can obtain the interior view - the only view IMO to play a racing game..!!

And, I bet the demo is about as final as we'll see if Sony stick to the guns and push this out for November, seeing as they'll want the GT5 bundles out for the Christmas sales..

GT5 is going to be a semi polished turd in places, but hopefully the handling and tracks makes up for the short comings and everything else (not known at this time, wait till it hits stores I guess)... Provided the meat of the game is decent, the rest can be overlooked, but as said - wait and see... November isn't far off, and anyhow F1 2010 is out this month.. That'll fix most motorheads petrol gaming needs for while..

And one more thing Mr. Latte, I have been in your shoes many many many times before with getting so excited with game releases thinking how 100% pure awesome they are going to be, because I have believed all of the claims from the developers, and not one of them have delivered on the expectations I had.

The above quotes are not fanboyisim but looking at what was once reported by Kaz. Its not my opinion but what he once said.
You cannot argue that PD have shown time and time again they are good at what they do and GT5 has improved already in many areas fans have moaned about.
So in general the game should be better in many ways than its previous titles.

I am questioning why the damage seems rather unfinished and below the par or quality of other aspects of the game. I do this as indeed I believe some of you are unwilling to accept its even a possibility that this is can only be finished code because of what other games or demos have shown or because we are approx 50+ days away from release.

Listen, you need to stop with your continued argumentive antics.
If you cant discuss something and share your own opinion equally and do it without trying to attack or discredit someone then dont bother. I stand by my reasons and my own assumption and if I am wrong I am willing to accept I am wrong. However I am not trying to tell all you guys that think otherwise I am right. No instead I base my opinion on what I have seen and expect the game to deliver based on the developers ability and standards.

That damage to me is unfinished and below par of what should be expected.
