Best seaside location in England/Wales?

I doubt anywhere really upmarket near the sea really exists.. Everyone enjoys the simple life
Just avoid Barry Island etc
I'd say due to companies offering flights and holidays so cheap abroad these days the UK seaside (resorts) has had to accommodate.
Making prices and availability pretty much in everbodies reach (which is great) just to hang on to all the tourism it can in and out of season.
Another vote for north Norfolk. If you want a quiet beach you have Holme next to sea which has no shops just an ice cream van and limited access due to parking so you don't get a overcrowded beach.
Then if you want little British sea side places you have sheringham, cromer, wells and Hunstanton all within a small driving distance. None of which are over commercialised.
We live in Hunstanton and the car is never locked , same for the house. So should give you some idea that it's no rough place.
Though I am slightly biased after moving here from Birmingham.

Probably not the best beach in the UK as far as natural beauty is concerned but the beaches just south of WoN, nearer Frinton-on-Sea are lovely. Golden sands, cliff edges and normally very peaceful. Great for taking the kids. Sea can get a bit rough at times.
Our camping meet in Pembrookshire (a few years ago now) took us to a nice beach. I've got no idea where it was though.

I notice this a lot, even more so over the summer as i've stayed here (luckily I work in a pub where large single sex groups aren't allowed!)
Bournemouth has a nice beach, and the town centre is alright. The only other place I really know along the coast is Brighton, the beach isn't as picture-esque as Bournemouth or Sandbanks as it's a pebble beach, but it's still cool and the city centre is much more interesting.

Malden is great if you like mud. I've never seen so much mud before

if you want exclusive and snobby then bexhill in sussex. just spent a week in pevensey, bex hill is very posh.
dont go up the road to hastings as its an utter dive.

How about when you're not in possession of all the facts, you lower your opinion? Nob, indeed.
There are quite a number of legitimate reasons for my request of 'up-market' and 'exclusive' none of which make me a 'nob'.
If we're going exclusive, then the Isles of Scilly.
Crystal clear waters, white sand beaches, and an higher class of visitor to ensure you don't get those screaming kids and chavvy families!
I forgot about Scilly, and we could get a helicopter ride over! Good call.
