NHS buys porn for sperm donors

Porn is more profitable to women then men so I don't see how it's bad for them :D.

The only downside I see is that after a guy watches porn he might ask his wife/gf to do something, poor them, they can't have that :D

Why not just take some prostitues from the streets? Gets them off the streets and into "mainstream" work, keeps them safe, gets them a pension and paying tax, plus they'll have a cracking cv with lots of relevant past experience and most likely ace the interview/practical. Dress wear has to be like the nurse from the Blink 182 album cover = Win win situation all round! :D

I agree that, instead of porn, female nurses should help with the deposits.

Just so long as their saliva doesn't taint the goods when they spit into the cup.

Perhaps the best idea would be for them to provide blow up sex dolls .
I bought a black one once & as soon as I'd inflated it she mugged me so I stabbed it with a cocktail stick & she farted & shot out the window :p

They wouldn't have enough women/prostitues and clinics to meet the needs of every single customer. Or perhaps they could give the job to the thousands of aliens entering the country everyday :D

Another feminist telling women what they're allowed to think and feel. Nothing new there.

Anti-porn feminism is sort of logical:

Premise: Porn is only for men.
Premise: Men are bad.
Conclusion: Porn is bad.

The conclusion follows logically from the premises, but the problem is that both of the premises are wrong.

I read a lot of fiction. Most of it is written by women and aimed mainly at women. You can usually tell the books aimed completely at women - most of them are full of porn. If you think I'm joking, pick up the most recent example I've seen - book one of the Ghostwalkers series by Christine Feehan. Or any of the others, probably. I liked the background story when I was browsing discounted books, so I bought it. It's the first series I've discarded because the porn content drowned out the story.

I'm in favour of age-rating books, or at least some sort of content indication. Hardcore porn is not suitable for young children. Not just vanilla either - I got a surprise when I got a heroic fantasy book from the library and found it full of extreme BDSM porn.

If it was actually porn she was bothered about, her main concern would be women who work in bookshops and libraries. But her problem is really with men, not porn.

The think tank said the disclosure was disrespectful to women working for the NHS, many of whom face uncertain futures thanks to tight budgets.

Porn often involves men and women - to claim it is 'disrespectful' to one gender is ridicules.

Its director, Julia Manning, said she was unaware of any government permission for spending on porn, though only 33 of 92 hospitals questioned admitted having done so.

so what - you don't have to have written govt policies on everything purchased - what is the govt policy on earl grey, do they have a specific policy on tea and coffee and what biscuits NHS staff consume on breaks.

A few DVDs/mags aren't going to break the budget, if anything they'll speed up the process somewhat and thus save money in the long term.

She added: "Seventy seven per cent of the NHS workforce is female and they should never have to work in an environment that endorses pornography."

I think nurses have seen plenty of naked bodies in their time and probably seen far worse than what is contained in the average porn film. They don't have to watch them yet the 'think tank' is worried they'd be 'offended' by the presence of a film containing footage of what is a fairly natural thing for a man and a woman to be involved in. Also I'd wager that giving an old guy a sponge bath is probably a fair bit more unplesant than catching a glance of a grotty porn mag - there is nothing to stop them from placing plain covers on them - they're not required to view the material themselves.

Utterly ridiculous. I thought it was standard practise to have some sort of 'material' anyway to help the fella along? :p
