Yup, that's only applicable to the muslim way of life which is why Islam is feared so much ;)

The new generation is:

leave school > get no job apart > buy alcohol > meet girls who have slept with 50 other guys before you > she gets a house and baby courtesy of el gov > the guy is in a 1 bed hostel living off takeaways > blame immigrants for the situation > guy gets a skinshead, beats up an Asian, votes BNP, realises donations are being wasted and leaves 2 years down the line, only to get a job as a parking attendant or clamper. Ahh, welcome to broken Britain.

Indeed. People fall under the misconception that children are a birth given right and so nothing should stand in their way. However, it’s not really your right when other people are funding it for you. I can't really get my head around it, having kids for the sake of exerting your ability to procreate is like clapping your hands. Everyone can do it, but you have to do it at the right time if you really want it to feel right.
 
There is a devolution going on, the weakest individuals reproduce resulting in chav offspring that unable to survive in the natural environment thus creating benefit ghettos, funded by things like child benefit that hard working individuals pay for.
 
it's the 'clever' high-earners the put the country in this situation, pandering to the poor and and pushing benefit levels through the roof allowing those degenerates to breed like rabbits and ruin society, given them an excuse to live the way they all do. the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, the difference is now the poorer you get, the more you get from the government.


somewhat ironic really, isnt it?

Yes some people are having kids when they should clearly not, but that is the way of the world.

They don't have a choice in the say though. I don't think any of the high-earners would willingly part with their hard-earned cash. The fault lays squarely with the government (in general).

I think that was his point. Unless I missed something, the government is largely comprised of middle-class children of high-earners.

Not really genetics, more nurture. It's psychological; humans have a massive tendency to emulate their role models or upbringing to an almost identical symmetry. It's not coded in their DNA, it's just the foundations of your existence building your future.
 
Wanting to be able to provide a certain level of living and deciding to have children are personal decisions. They imo have little to do with how the general population is sliding into a different role than its been before.
There have always been poor and rich, the main difference is the poorest should now have a higher std of living than they have ever had before (this is debated)
The human existence is still transitioning and has never reached end state, you only compare to say last 2 years, what about last 100 years, last 200 years?
Most of us would probably have been poor,living in hovels with no real prospects 200 years ago. Very very few ever went from poor to rich then as you didnt get the opportunity.
How one would define good standard of living varies a lot, money is certainly not the be all and end all of that. Money does not = good parenting either, just the same that no money = bad parenting.
If you sitting there with 20 years of money in the bank, no mortgage and could give up work for 20 years your ready and risk free to bring up kids, anything less then your not, so why worry about being 100% ready when 1,000,000 things will change that could knock you out of your comfort zone and mean your not ready to bring up kids again.

So as someone who has brought up kids I can tell you for 100% its not just about being financially secure.
 
We're not exactly rich (£50-60k household income), and if we had waited until we could "afford" a child we never would have had one. That's my thinking anyway

Perhaps, but it doesn't solely define their future does it? Even you must surely agree that plenty of people can and do aspire to higher goals.

And perhaps I should have re-written my original post. Is being a "ballsack" genetic too? Do you have proof that middle-class children will actually grow up to be nicer people than working-class ones?
 
Personally, I think its time to scrap all child benefits. Introduced at the end of the war to boost our population, its completely unnecessary by today's standards other than to feed the mouths of the **** society.
