10.9 Cat's out today?

ATI have still not fixed BFBC2.

I was getting texture corruption (looks like fireworks in the background) with my 3870x2.... I recently upgraded to a 5870, but the 10.9 drivers still do the same thing.

Ay one know what im saying?

It doesnt bother me, just would be nice for it to get fixed..

Sounds like an issue that's specific to your hardware/setup. If you read Catalysts makers blog post he responds to loads of questions about these kinds of issues and a common response is it will be fixed IF they can replicate the fault in the labs.

Right well hard to tell, but I installed the laest application profiles a long with the dispolay driver, and all seems to be much better, no tecture corruption or 'fireworks' display in the distance. I only run a single 5870 tho...

Fingers crossed.

These same as all the ati drivers i have installed went on with no problems at all and have given me lower idle temps and WOT seems a little smoother as well so i am happy. Whenever new drivers come out there seem to be two groups straight off those that have problems with them and those who don't sometimes makes me wonder if the drivers are the problem or something else on whatever system.

Seems ok here. Had a crash in Borderlands just now but it was a new level anyway so I doubt it's the 10.9. All temps etc seem to be fine.

Notice how it's always the same people with problems month after month? Also notice the same people not having problems month after month :P

Possibly. But I have seen other post videos of it on you tube...

This was months ago, however, so please dont ask me to find a video....

Basically it looks like a fireworks display above houses in the distance of some maps, I think particulary the one, wit the little island in the center at the begining of the map (big apache at the start of the hill with the attackers).

Isla Inocente is the maps name.

Just had a good search on you tube, but cant find the video. Initially I put the flicking down to the fact I was running a 3870x2 and thought it was crossfire issues, but Iv seen it (infrequently) with my 5870, 10.9 as well.

Infact for me, 10.9 as introduced more very very minor graphical irregularities than 10.8.

Doesnt bother me tho..

BFBC2 run really slow with my 5970, my frame rate would drop to 70fps in some areas.

No graphic glitches but still getting CTD.

Back to 10.4

Still never had a problem with any drivers since way back when i had a 2600xt Thats going back a fair while 2 and also had 2 different rigs since then and not a single problem to date. Just think some people are unlucky. If you tallied up all the people that downloaded the driver i imagine a much higher % would have no problems at all and the same few peeps would creep in with the same problems.

I really think it just depends on your rig

I recieved poor performance in BC2 when i updated from 10.5 to these, i did pretty much all the uninstalling recommendations mentioned by ATi and also i used driver sweeper and it just wasn't happening, so i went back to 10.5 and BC2 is now playable again.

Grrrrr..... Had to do a full re-install after trying the 10.9s. Had some weird mouse/keyboard lock ups (had the USB disconnect/reconnect sounds) then crash to BSOD.

Back to 10.5 - they seem to have served well enough.

Must admit this 5870 is the first ATi card I have owned, always been a nVidia person. So I heard the horror stories and the like about the drivers expecting the worst everytime. Since 10.4's I have got the latest drivers and hot fixes and installed over the top and all is good. Not a single problem as yet :)

I never had any driver problems with my 5870 up to 10.7, but I guess it depends what games you play that may have issues and your setup, Xfire users report the majority of problems.
