***** Playstation Move Thread *****

Picked up a PS3 last night with the move pack and Sports Champions for £285. Got an extra move controller, Navi controller and blu ray remote.

Have to say I'm quite impressed with the PS3 overall but there are a few niggles. Slightly annoying there is no rear usb port for the camera. It annoys me having to plug it in at the front.

I keep getting disconnected from the PS network and coming up with an error code. I'll investigate that more. Might just need ports forwarding or something.

Move itself is very good, easy to set up and calibrate and the games (that I've tried so far) work well enough. Better than the Wii IMO.

Probably not for this thread but thinking of picking up a few cheap (PS3 eclusive) games pre owned.

Uncharted AND Uncharted 2 or one or the other?
Motorstorm or MS Pacific or both?
Are Killzone 3 and MSG4 any good?

I'll try demos of course but just after some opinion of each game.

Any other games I should look out for, Move or otherwise??

All the games you mentioned are very good, plus you can add Demon Souls & God of war 1,2,3.

As for Move games RE5, Heavy Rain & Tumble all sound like good value for money.

Both Uncharted games
Probably MS Pacific (although Motorstorm you'll find crazy cheap 2nd hand)
Killzone 2 (3 is out around christmas time) and MGS4 are both great

Heavy Rain is another one worth a look, there's a demo for the move edition on the PSN. You can also play it with a joypad.

All the Ratchet and Clank games are good, you can pick some of them up crazy cheap too.

Thanks, I'll check them out.

Tried the demo of tiger woods 11 with move tonight. AWFUL. It works well enough but it was boring!

Tumble on the other hand was pretty damn good. Might have to get that.

Because it is not essential. Simply holding the DS3 controller in your left hand does the job, albeit it slightly heavier and a fraction less comfortable. :)

Agreed with Tiger woods, it was a real pain tp configure for me at first but then when I did finally calibrate it, it just did not feel as responsive to my swings, nowhere near close to how responsive sports champions is. As for Tumble it really put me in the game, everything felt natural and every time I collapsed those blocks i found myself going back trying to do it again to get that gold medal.

Move is just an after thought for tigerwoods so I doubt it would be great. The other golf game is supposed to be more designed with the move in mind. Might be worth waiting for that demo.

and MSG4 any good?

Depends who you ask it's a love hate game, if you enjoy very long cutscenes then you'll get on ok with it, the sections you actually play are excellent though I might add :) but those huge cutscenes do put off a lot of players.

Anyone played Resi 5 with this yet? Pretty much the only game at the moment making me consider buying Move.

I haven't played Resi 5 yet but playing it with Move sounds more appealing for some reason.

Yes, they work together really well. My only complaint is that the sniper rifles required the use of the analogue stick, when you're so used to using the far superior Move aiming it kinda slows you down.

Cool. Will have to see about getting a cheap version of the Gold edition as I only have the vanilla one.

What a load of ******* they only added it to the Gold edition.

That does suck bigtime aye. I don't have a clue why not as in the US the gold edition was out before move and a patch enables it.

It can be had for £12.95 online which is cheap at least.

Well I own RE5 Ultimate Edition and I thought there would be a free update to make it move compatible or is this only with the Gold edition?

Well I that's lame considering I bought almost all the DLC of the store as well. I could maybe trade it in but I doubt I would get hardly anything for it.
