***** Playstation Move Thread *****

Apparently theres a shortage of stock for the Move Controllers and retailers are struggling to get stock once they sell out of their initial allocation

Had a quick look on the high street yesterday at lunch time and the shop I was in had piles of the things!

So, as per my previous post, anyone know why most of the Sports Champion games were not selectable for me, such as archey and gladiators? Could only select tble tennis and frisbee thing.

Are the others two player only?

The demo only includes those two sports, you sure your not just playing that? No issues with the full game here with only one wand???

LOL nice one I Will try this until I can get the bracket.

It works fine on mine & my mates TV's hence why I said in my previous post that you don't need the bracket.

Oh, thanks.

I thought the demo disc I got with the starter kit would have contined trial versions of all of the games inclded.

Bit bloody useless of them.

Also, they could have included at least one full free game with this, such as tumble, which I quite like the look of.

It does seem a bit mean not to provide a proper game with the move kit - it all really adds up. The gun attachement looks really cool though - kinda retro-futuristic.

You get stacks of demo's, although I suppose Tumble included would have been nice. I don't think you can expect Sports Champion's to be included as you would be getting a camera, wand & full price game for £50 (£42 online).

I prefer it the way we get it than the american's as it give's us the choice rather than a more expensive pack.

RE5 doesn't let you config the buttons, it only let's you choose from two profiles which are very similar. Can't remember exactly what the differences are, but it's something like use L2 (trigger on nav controller) to sprint instead of X.

So er, Resident Evil from what i heard uses the 'home' button on the Motion controller for shooting and not the trigger as you would expect? can anyone confirm this?

Basically this means that the one game out at the moment which would be awesome with a gun attachment, cant be played using one simply because the controls are setup in a way that you don't use the trigger on the Motion controller for firing your weapon?

I guess i could be wrong here, but as the gun attachments seem to use the gun trigger to press the Motion controller trigger, playing with the gun and a navigation controller would be impossible?

really keen to see if this is right, and if so....that really is so stupid of them.

Well i used move at a mates house last time and i loved it really enjoyed it and was impressed and the table tennis in it is awesome! :D

I would like it myself but i reckon id get bored with it like i did the wii even tohu Move is far better imo ill wait till i see more proper games you could say

A tip for those playing Resi 5: Crank the sensitivity up to 10, it's the closest i've felt to mouse + keyboard responsiveness on a console.

Hows this for a p*** take. Thought I would try out Sony's new move demo section on the store and saw that they have a mini golf game up there. Having not tried that demo yet I thought I would download it and give it a try. So I Load it up and here is what it said

"In order to use Playstation Move with this demo you must purchase the full game"

It cracked me up it really did, talk about marketing.

I cannot believe how far Sony are trying to push the move in order to make a profit. For one they made a USB camera that does not even mount to your television but is designed to sit on it as if we all still use the old CRT brown box that has room for your mothers ornaments and plants. So they compensate this by selling a bracket (yet more money). Now the gun attachment?? and how in anyway does that actually improve your accuracy in games like the shoot and maybe time crisis where you don't even aim down the sight of the gun but try to aim the rectile on the screen on your target.

Don't get me wrong I love the move I think it's a fantastic addition for the PS3 but it's like they are trying to sell it bit by bit kind of like trying to sell a games console and then sell the leads and everything else separate.

I dont see your problem. These are all "extras". You dont even need the camera mount as you can just balance it on your tv with the cable holding it(I think someone mentions a link above).

The Wii did the same with theirs too. A racket that you can put on the remote to make it look like a real racket and such.

If they were essentials to play the game. Arent all these extras third party items anyway?

Which game was it? The only move demos I've seen were the ones for the release games, plus Heavy Rain.
