If you haven't bought the parts yet, I really think you should consider the i5 760 overclocked to 4.0GHz bundle (£399.99):Yeah, I'm getting a MSI P55-GD65 iP55 Socket 1156 Gigabit Lan 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard, Intel i5 760 2.8GHz Socket 1156 8MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor, and Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit. Which all should be very good performance towards my 460. I've gotten a brand new NVIDIA 334 case.
Are you getting a power supply unit?
In your case, because you got a high end motherboard, I really think you should just toss a Quad such as Q6600 or Q9550 onto it (and overclock). It will last you until you upgrade the graphic card to beyond GTX480 ish.Kinda a shame, as the initial point seemed to be keeping the PC for several year's as is. Don't get me wrong, the bundle is great... but I wonder if *shudder* buying a better CPU for the existing board would be the cheaper option? (Obviously not the best performing option though!!) - Have no idea what CPU's his motherboard will support though!!

Seriously, a E4300 on a Asus X48 ROG Rampage Formula...WTF!?![]()
Sorry nJoyo, I was refering to Scougar's system...wasn't talking about your case.I don't have an option to choose for QUAD CORE, As I don't have a compatible motherboard. If you read my earlier post i've mentioned it.
