2.61 overdrawn = 39£ in fees

My grandfather got a letter once to say they couldn't honour a £12 cheque as he was 37p short in his account but they had charged him £15 for bouncing the cheque and an additional £25 for the (now) unauthorised overdraft leaving him £28.37 and still owing the person £12.

Banks don't work in the real world. Get used to it.
 
Get an agreed overdraft.

I've got one set at £500.

I doubt I will ever get anywhere near that, but should I go a couple of pounds overdrawn, I won't get any fees.
