Well, I've never seen so much controversy about a logo change on the internet, but...GAP have rebranded themselves.

Old left, new right...

There's been such an uproar that now GAP are asking people to send their suggestions of new logos in. What do you guys think of jumping on the Helvetica bandwagon with a shaded box in the background?

IMHO their website just feels cheap now...why fix something that isn't broken? I think their old logo is still perfectly fine...

how stupid can they be, changing a logo which people can identify is not a good move. thats like nike changing the tick to a flippin knife. always going to be -ev.

The old one is much better - Gap's a household name and so is its logo. Shouldn't have changed it.

Unless they're going to be taken over perhaps?

I feel like Im back to Office 95 and using a default Powerpoint template :D

ps3ud0
That's what I'm thinking too :p

I don't see why they thought it would be a good idea to change the old logo. It didn't need changing at all, and was a perfectly good logo.

Of all the news sources you link to 2 which require membership :(

Sorry, I'm not a member and I can still access the articles?

Also guys, there's a parody brawl going on between the old and new logo on twitter :D
