How long do you keep your car?

Don't, get a FD2 instead.

Nah I want a UK example from a dealer, FD2 is too big for me

I keep looking at Golf GTI's too though, just a boggo spec 197 BHP 2.0 TSFI with a standard manual box

I'm possibly going to look at both or do a total U turn and blow the money in America and get a 2k run around :o

Had a hand me down Polo for a year, then went to uni at 18, without a car. That rotted/died during family use.

Then bought a £200 Vectra from a family member, kept that for about 3 years before scrapping it.

Had my DC2 for over a year, and I don't plan to get rid of it. I'm 26 now, so have been driving for 9 years, crikey

Current: Honda Prelude 5th gen SiR BB8, had it about 6 months so far

Shortest: a tie between my Toyota Supra MKiv Twin Turbo which I bought modified (putting out something north of 400bhp) and my Honda Prelude 4th gen 2.0i BB3 both of which lasted 4 months. The Supra I sold as I knew I was too stupid to keep something that powerful (reading what nick Hogan did with his was the decision maker lol). The Prelude I bought cheap and had professionally restored, all rust removed and full respray, was loverly, then the highways dept failed to clean up properly after an accident and I skidded on some oil into a stone wall.

Longest: Honda Prelude 4th gen Si-Vtec BB4 (I like my Preludes don't I? lol) kept it for 2 years after replacing the Supe with it, then sold it to a bloke in Bulgaria who had it collected on a trailer, no joke.

Whys that? I don't know the size difference, but at a guess, id reckon the FD2 isn't that much bigger. They look awesome in that blue.

The FD2 is a four door saloon Civic, its quite big, I prefer 3 or 5 door hatches

I dont really like the idea of importing and they will also be a lot more expensive then a Honda UK supplied FN2

Current - Audi A4 Quattro Sport. Had it 4yrs this month. Its acutally sold, should pick up the new one tonight.

Shortest - Mk2 Ford Fiesta XR2 in Crystal Blue. I was 17 and it got squashed by an arcticulated lorry. Had it less than 6 months.

Longest - Phase 2 Renault 19 16v 3d hatch. Met blue. Loved the car, but it fell to bits in the end. Owned that for 5 years while at Uni.

Ah, thats the one my boss has in yellow, he loves it though. I was surprised at just how bare the interior is, looks like sitting in a Kinder Egg

Im well aware what it is. No need to import, you can buy one here. Depends what your budget is for a FN2 i guess.

This is for sale for 15k:

Like Skynet?

I'm not spending that much, I want a UK dealer supplied car if I get one

most disappointing car experience ever, got the supra instead from the same garage, I dread to think how much they shelled out in warranty on that failcar

He's actually spent money on his, exhaust and intake if I remember rightly, I really dont like it, it sounds awful, much prefer his Ed30 Golf thats a stunning car with the CH's as standard etc

to be fair I'd probably be dead if I'd actually had any real exposure to it! I was 24 and still had a lot of maturing to do in terms of driving ability. I sat behind one the other day and did kind of wish I could have a quick blast, had a comically floppy rear wing!

Yeah its not something he tends to use on rainy days. He's a fair bit older, late 50's at a guess and has a few motors, I forgot about the Elise until you metioned it i've not seen it for a while, I wonder if he's sold it, a conversation starter for setting up the payrise question :p

First Impreza 2 years, second Impreza 1 year, third Impreza over 2 and a half years so far. Intend to keep it a while too. And inbetween, 306 GTi for 10months, and 306 Dturbo 18months so far, and intend to keep until death do us part!
