Clio 200 Cup via finance

Seems like a pretty good deal to me, there are people that spend nearly that much maintaining their cars alone.

You can do worse things with £200 a month than drive around in a brand new, very capable hot hatch that is unlikely to cost you a penny other than in tax and insurance.

£425 tax included in the first year and the insurance actually works out cheaper than a 182

How much does the extra grand for recaro put on the payments?

According to the Clio forum, about £50 extra for those extras per month but the dealer said he'd work out the options for me when I visit him.

No point turning a cheap nice little deal into a dear one with options, id be inclined to just drive that as is and call it cheap fun trouble free motoring.

Looks like a good deal to me, pretty sure a brand new 200 Cup would cost more than 15k anyway? I'd be fairly confident it would retain enough of its value aswell, only just though :s.

It's funny when the 15 year old forum members try to regurgitate mainstream OcUK opinions made by the regulars. It's about time people had their own opinions around here.

You may value the opinion of a clueless kid Shifty, the majority here imo don't.

When you are young you are young, in 5 years that kid will have absorbed some useful info on here.

Anyway everyones young at first.

Thats another of my great insightful statements right there :)

If they want the car sold you get them thrown in. If they say no, walk away but leave your number. If they don't ring within a few days go back and get it signed up sans seats.

Really? Is this the tactic to be using? What realistically can I expect to get thrown in/discounted? I imagined there would be no room for negotiation due to the original discount in place.

What is the annual mileage limit? I'm probably being blind but can't see it.

If I was single I would be all over this :D

£6k PA then 6p per mile afterwards I am led to believe. Fine for me as I don't use the car during the week.

My main consideration is where I can put my golf clubs!

Boot more than big enough, I say go for it. :)

If I flogged my Focus for this, my life wouldn't be worth living. :( :p

It's not funny at all. In fact I think it's a pretty good deal. Better than financing a crappy old model 1.2 Clio for more than what a brand new one costs.

surely the £205 a month will probably only cover the depreciation & interest on one of these, then if you want to buy it at the end its £8k, you wont be able to sell it privately for more as not many people are interested in buying a car thats financed, as they have to settle with the finance company and pay you the difference, its a pain not many buyers will be bothered with!

6k miles PA, thats bloody low!

Looks like a decent deal, £200 a month is not a lot really. Don't know if I could justify it myself mind.

Why is this thread so rammed with people who do not have a clue what they are talking about?

Why would he want to sell it? It's not even his, it's a lease for goodness sake with an OPTION to purchase should he wish.

I don't think you're quite getting my point. It's only a good deal until the powers that be say it is otherwise everyone else regurgitates and applies the same old useless opinions to every buying advice request which comes along. Hence the kids coming in and yapping on about how it's a bad idea!

What

Surely its a good deal if its a good deal, and not a good deal if its... a bad deal?

In this case its a good deal - the total ownership cost is less than the list price of a new one, it's priced low becauase its almost certainly there more for the dealers benefit in that it generates good low mileage used stock which there are often higher margins on.

If people just stopped the conspiracy rubbish we'd all get along a lot better.

I'm not and have never been anti-finance. I'm anti-crap-deals.

Roundabout way of saying the regulars. A good deal is indeed a good deal...

My slandering was more to do with the people who essentially reiterate the same old rubbish in every thread regardless of the OPs request. People need to think for themselves more on these boards.

Sorry for any hijacking!
