Yeah but it needs to stop, I've noticed it more and more and it just makes the whole forum look stupid.
As for Janesy, Sure, theres some **** here that needs to stop, but telling some kid to shut it when tbh he has no real reason to warrant his initial comment? Whats so wrong with that? , let alone has he any reason to offer a positive input to a motoring based forum? That said, afaik he's not even driving yet nor has any apparent link to cars - has he got one? has he ever obtained finance? can he offer a subjective opinion of a Renault Clio? Was I so out of line? imo, no.
Don't know why that's aimed at me, I totally agree!![]()
How come your deposit isn't £999? Is that because of the extras?
I'd be quite tempted by this myself. Not sure I'd bother too much with options though because I'd probably not keep it after the 2 years. I take it if you don't pay the GFV, you just hand the keys back?
Oh god now even i'm tempted by this.
Would definitely hand back the keys after 24 months though![]()
Correct. You can pay the options up front along with the deposit or add them to the finance (4.4% interest).
I'm still very tempted by this but haven't yet committed myself. With the FF model I'm paying £1000 extra plus £410 for the cup back but considering the air con (manual) for the cup was £565 I'm only effectively paying £845 for the extras the FF comes with.
I'm thinking of trying to get the dealer to pay for the options (£700) but in return I will add the recaros and pay this upfront myself. They hope you trade in after 2 years so this will give them a very desirable car with a lot of the options. Whether I'd be pushing my luck I'm unsure! What do people think my chances would be?
Gotcha!
I'd only really want the seats - when you say cup pack is that suspension bits?. I wouldn't want any electrical gubbins A/C or satnav etc.
I thought I posted this yesterday but my own reservation would that be that after 2 years and £6K you don't own the car - not really. If it has to be new then fair enough its just a 3 year loan of £6K could at least put you in an old gen Trophy which is still a tidy little car and you end up with the car at the end of it.
I also notice that the link only has a certain number of dealerships (all of them miles away from me) - does that mean I can't get the car from my local Renault dealer? Would I be able to get the car serviced at the local dealer? - just emailed Lookers with this question so we'll see what they say.
Its also £100 cheaper the insure than my Jeep![]()
Insurance would pay the finance co i suppose.
Wouldn't they pay out for the 'value' of the car, which is now 2 days old, registered with 1 keeper and had say 10 miles on it.
A second hand Clio with 1 owner and 10 miles is worth a lot less than an unregistered brand new Clio and thus the person would be left with finance.
Isn't this the point of that GAP insurance?
