Want to kill.
I was kind of fine up until yesterday, but I've somehow become very emotional and uptight.

I am using an E-cig, to try and quench my cravings but can see myself getting addicted to these E-cig's.

Anyone given up the smokes, and gone through this before offer advice?

No, but I've just bought a pipe and started my Adventures in Smoking. Ok, not really, just testing it out.

No idea what to offer. Just tough it out.

You're over the hard part, so I hear. I wish I could get to 2 weeks. If you feel yourself slipping, just remember what it was like when you lost your breath standing up to make a cup of tea.

I needed a hug and a good cry not long after I gave up. It was over 20 years ago but I remember that being sort of the final stage of recovery.

Ok here dude listen, DONT BREAK..

I started smoking around 6mths ago. I am 27 and started because i was an idiot. I smoked for around 6weeks and i was starting to get hooked. I tried to quite and kept breaking.

Then one day i had a fag after a nap and it gave me a banging headache and i could feel they were screwing me up. I chucked my newly brought 20 pack in the bin and NEVER EVER touched them since.

Sick Evil addictive ****.

Dont break, dont give into the evil.

Good luck....

It never gets easier, you get used to the craving. Or so I found. Except I have quit quitting never made it past a month. :(

i quit through all of january this year and it wasn't too bad because i didn't go out, then i went out the first weekend in febuary and the habit was back :(

Ohh and guys thanks for the support. I have managed, over the previous weekend, go out, drink, and not smoke, which is probably thanks to my friends not smoking.

I've never made it past 2 hours beforehand so this is quite a deal for me.

Thats great bud, keep up the good work.

It's so good not being a smoker, everytime I quit I feel great. I want to quit again, my biggest tip is stay away from smokers for a while. Maybe even social events at all for the first month or so. It may be hard, but thats when I always break.

Best of luck, the craving really doesn't go away for a while. Try and ween yourself off those e-fags too!

Yeah, I'd love to stay away from the disgusting smokers. They all reside at work ;(

Edit: I couldn't agree more about the e-fags. But I think its just a mental thing (without sounding SO GAY) something going in your mouth and sucking. (ohh god what!!! )

E-Cigs?

I was a smoker for 6-7 years 10 a day, I then stopped which was when I realised I can stop and start as I please, I havnt had one in 3 weeks now, If I go down the pub say next week or go clubbing I can take 20 out with me on a night out, then stop the following day

I used to be able to stop when I want! :(

I quit cold turkey, a smoker for 12 years- a combo of not being around mates smoking, got my partner to quit, exercise and vigorous gaming worked for me.

Good luck with it, you'll thank yourself in the long run!

You know thats worse than full time smoking right?
Full time smokers build up mucas in their lungs that give some protection. You however have none, the tar goes directly onto your lungs.

I say give it up without wasting time and money on quiting aids, these will only lead you back into smoking.
Its not the craving you have, its the habbit you will have to deal with now. It does become very easy and you will start to feel much better inside. Also every time you wake up in the morning and know you have not had a cig the day before feels like a much better day.
