Call of Duty: Black Ops

Ah ok gutted, didn't know that was he last play, I'd have liked to have given him a big bad of abuse as a send off :(

Yeah I'm on later.

He was on last night but said he will be too busy to be on tonight, don't think he leaves until the weekend though but is moving out of his house before then.

The bloody git managed to get a team kill on me with seconds to go in his very last game so I couldn't get revenge. :( :D

Hah sadly I do that from bed to see who's online having fun :p I haven't hidden offline for a while.

Laptop on the back of the mrs head. I need to try that :D

I would like the chance to team kill him one more time for the road :D

No death streaks, no commando, no damage modifying perks (stopping power, juggernaut, danger close), no hacks (or so they say), no more infinite tubes/explosives.

Sounds 10x better to me already.

No hacks? I bet it's hacked before the official version is released. :p

Don't like the idea of dropping to the ground. I can imagine that is going to be so over used. Even with a .5 sec recovery you would still probably get the better of your enemy by doing it.

Yeah I think its probably going to be quite a strong move. Glad I switched to tactical in MW2. Really going to be handy in this.

It's gonna be a bugger for me as I use tactical and sometimes accidentally press the stick in and drop to the floor. It's gonna be annoying if i'm running somewhere, press it in accidentally and end up diving to the floor:o

I'm renowned for swinging my knife at inopportune moments (I have my sensitivity set quite low so it tends to go off during unexpected 1 v 1's) so have considered switching to tactical, but:-

A. Is it worth the transitional pain?

And B. Is it going to be better to swing away and maybe have a slim chance of catching them with the knife or diving around like a nutter and leaving myself vulnerable?

(i do this A LOT and I ain't changing my sensitivity so it will have a bearing on my game) :)

Well none of my stats changed for the better or for the worse so its much of a muchness in that regard. however I do feel more mobile on tactical. I definitely toggle crouch and prone more on tactical because its easier so I feel you're slightly more free to make better decisions. You can pop up and down and shoot really nicely behind cover.

I feel its worth the switch and with an extra feature added in this game I feel its even more reason to switch. Plus tactical usually follows the default for most other games so if your mixing it up that can be handy.

Probably took me about a few hours of play to make the switch but I'm really glad I did. I feel like it opens up a few more options here and there. And while I'm not a big drop shotter it can be good to buy you some time if you say reload at the wrong time and just need a few milliseconds to get your gun ready.

I think for accidental presses tactical will also probably be better. As you can still shoot while you do it. I.E it wont stop your gun from being in iron sight. Its quite nice as well that all your movement is solely on the sticks. It pleases my OCD brain to know this :p

The main problem here is on default layout the game actually masks when press R3/RS so long as you've pulled the trigger first. After many repetitions you stop paying direct attention to it until you get the timing wrong.

The stick button works on a tactile switch so it's unaffected by sensitivity although pressing it down on high sensitivity could affect your aim.

Well, after not playing COD for a while I decided to get back into a bit the other night and quickly found out I am now terrible at it! Also watched my mate on it last night and he does the quick-scope thing even with shotguns, just seems really naff?

Onto the new one: I watched the video posted a few pages back where the guy does quick-scoping with a sniper rifle. I thought it was taken out of the game?
