I'm playing as a fairly good guy, but hardcore mode is eroding my morals, sometimes you just HAVE to get some water/stimpaks/doctors bags, even if you can't afford it!
I see any learning books as fair game though, always have.

IRT the save the slaves quest in Nipton, I'd managed to kill a couple of legion guys already using an incinerator I'd found, so I had a legion outfit. Went into the slave camp in disguise to reccy, then went to town on them with the incinerator and a cowboy rifle I'd got from one of the previous Legion guys. They are really tough though, without that incinerator I'd have been dead meat, I nearly was anyway!

I started off trying to be a good guy but its just so much easier to Kill and Rob... Everybody hates me but thats ok as i have some big guns....:D
 
quick question..I have Boone as a companion but cant seem to equip him with anything?


he still insists on using his sniper rifle (which is fine) but he could do with some better armour

I see theres bound to be somne stuff I will fail first time round..ai wiped out the prison and cobb and got a couple of messages saying I had failed a mission..I am guessing onyl some mission are available to evil characters
 
I have Cass as a hanger on, As soon as I went into the plasma shop and talked to one of the guys he opened fire on her and all hell broke lose. Re-loaded and killed them all as part of one of her missions. Stole the guns and sold most, Got me over 10k caps atm.

I'm yet to receive my code.
 
Anyone know a way to become friendly again with NCR? I acquired the chip but haven't returned or done anything further than that but I still get attacked as vilified :/
 
DAMN IT!

Story paths are really unclear at times.

I've just finished the game (As far as it will let me without DLC) under a faction I wanted little to do with. :(

Nope :( Ended up loading a earlier save before I retrieved the chip and works now.

Same. Currently 'working' on a second ending and it's not really panning out differently than the previous one so far.
 
I have a spare mercenary pack code if anyone wants it? I got 1 with my order from a high street store which didn't work (already used) so they gave me 2 more and the first worked so have the one spare which I presume will also work.

Grrr just spent ages running around a maze of a vault trying to find a certain item, only to find out that because i did another quest there earlier, i cant finish the current one as the room is now blocked off :mad:

22? It shouldn't be, try going down a level and exploring the caves better...
 
Just ran into my first Deathclaw. All I can say is RIP Quarry Workers of Sloan. Also had my first run in with the Legion in nipton. Damn, they're some right evil so and so's. Trying to make my way to the Strip but my character is still a weakling so it's going to take a lot of effort.
