If he'd just let them put the cuffs on he would have just been carted off.

Resisting arrest or not, the job was done there was no need for him to punch him in the head multiple times after he had been tasered. That's a cowardly thug.

I agree but if you just comply in the first the place you don't give them any reason. Just hit the deck and put your hands behind your back and you won't get tasered or smacked in the face.

To be honnest if I was resisting arrest I would expect a good clipping.

They do actually - they have much greater powers of arrest than we do.

If you're performing a citizens arrest you're simply trying to hold someone there while the police arrive - the police officers are actually trying to handcuff the suspect and put him into a van. You don't have the power to handcuff someone and so the fact someone is struggling when you perform a citizens arrest wouldn't justify the same use of force as a police officer who is trying to charge a suspect and bring him in for questioning.

I should hope they have greater powers as we put our trust into them. Which is exactly the point. If this wasn't caught on Camera imagine next time he smashes a bloke 5times and cracks his scull or worse. He has probably hit or pushed the bounders of arrest many times before.

What an unbelievably moronic statement. So in your world then, the police are in a position to act upon people how they see fit, are never mistaken and do not need to behave in a reasonable, humane and legal way?

You get good Policemen and women, but in my experience the vast majority are bullies. I have had numerous dealings with them over the years in a huge variety of different capacities - And more often than not they have behaved terribly. People have to be insanely ignorant to put them on such a pedestal as Fox and other morons in this thread seem to.
