Considering the huge amount miles I cover out in the wilds of Norfolk so far I have only managed to hit 2 pheasants. One flew up, hit the top of the drivers side of the cab and then bounced off into a field. The other bullseye'd the chiller unit on the top of the van and seemingly vanished as I saw no feathers. I thought it was jammed between the unit and the top of the cab at first, but upon returning back the way I had came it was very very dead in the middle of the road.
Had numerous close encounters with deer, a VERY close call with a cat that shot out of a bush & across the road after a dog walked passed. I have never ever slammed the anchors on so hard, swear the van almost did an endo. My biggest grip though is with partridges, always in groups that refuse to fly and instead run down the road like nutters.
