Anyone with a 360 tried clearing the hard drive cache to unpatch it in order to do the infinite caps glitch? Will it create problems for my save game?

This works a charm for anyone low on caps - the vikki and vance casino glitch has made me rich :D
 
I forgot to mention, somewhere along the lines (well, Vault 3 actually) ED-E has disappeared. I still have his perk, but he's gone...kablammo! Apparently a new patch was released on PS3 today, so hopefully that might 'find' him again...
 
Does anyone know if the Dart Gun exists in this game and if it does where youfind the schematics? Deathclaws are such a pain without it :(
 
I got my r2 button problem fixed. I think it was having my logitech wheel plugged in, if I remember rightly my guitar hero dongle caused the same problem on the last game.

Has anyone noticed characters with giant hands? It seems to be a bug with scaling of body parts, no artist in their right mind would create them like that on purpose.

Lost most my caps in two games of caravan, couldn't remember what the face cards did and kept getting low value cards.

Might be a silly question but have you tried just waiting? I had to wait something like 42 hours for Veronica to come back after I lost her.
 
There are a number of bugs involving companions disappearing on the PC version so I would imagine they are there on the console, a number of them revolve around Vegas quests such as when you go to meet Benny, the game removes your companion, happened to me with Cass, kept her perk but lost her, about 5 (real) hours later I got a message saying she had returned to Mojave Outpost.
 
Picked up a copy tonight, played for maybe an hour or so - hard locked three times already :( (PS3) I'm looking forward to playing it, but seriously, these crashes are far too regular!

Initial impressions, well, it's more Fallout 3, so it's going to be great :)
 
my game glitched last night but in a good way!

i was doing my normal buy all trader items, then win all the caps back winning a few games of caravan.

The guy at Novac had some shotgun hulls that every time i bought them and came out my xbox would freeze. after i figured out it was the hulls i just left him with them.

anyway he had about 20k total caps after i bought all the stuff (except hulls). played caravan won all the caps back as normal, but his amount a caps stays the same.

slept for 3 days to see if it sorted itself out when the traders stock reset, bought all the stuff again, played caravan, now he has about 45k caps which doesnt go down :)

so now i only have to play 1 game of caravan to win 30k caps which is his max bet, this is now available every time i visit the shop :D
 
Sometimes the NCR are just useless. Went to take Nelson and I took the whole damn place by myself. Also, how awesome is The Liberator. Such a powerful melee weapon and it's value is 999. Awesome.

Maybe do a few quest and level up abit before going to the strip and try and get a companion i.e boone from novac will help .

Frag mines are also your friend for deathclaws, cripples their legs so they can be shot in the face as they slowly limp towards you :)

I've levelled up more now and am quite close to the Strip. Just helped get some NCR troops into shape. They very much need it. Also, the Legion leaving mines next to wounded soldiers is not cool.
 
I've had to start the game over again, I chose the wrong faction (Legion) and it all ended in disaster, it would not let me carry on with the game after it finished, something tells me I should have gone NCR
