I'm not sure about the E9x 330d and E6x 530d, but certainly on the e46 a remap tends to lead to better economy due to the shift in powerband.
Same was also true for my Leon Cupra R.
Have you had yours map'd?
If so; what's the pre and post map bhp and mpg then?


They really are epic engines, that's all there is to it.

535/335 were my obvious first choices, but im having to take a step back and be sensible (first time for everything!), if I wanted a high performance estate I'd just get an rs4/6 and be done with it, this car is specifically required to drive me to and from the alps/cornwall in comfort and not cost a fortune doing it.
a 335/535 is a costly car to tax and im sure its day to day running costs would be higher too

if i get the 520d its only £110 a year to tax as well, thats another thing I'm not used to - reasonable road tax pricing![]()
