smoker/mileage car needed

I'm not sure about the E9x 330d and E6x 530d, but certainly on the e46 a remap tends to lead to better economy due to the shift in powerband.

Same was also true for my Leon Cupra R.

Have you had yours map'd?

If so; what's the pre and post map bhp and mpg then?

Presuming the power in a 520d is the same as a 120d we raced down to Courch many years ago? It would definitely work harder to make it back to Calais in 6 hours :P

They really are epic engines, that's all there is to it.

I know ED raised the bar economy wise, but that's outstanding!

But the x35d always used to be twin turbo? Did ED make it twin-scroll? How the hell have the bridged the economy gap between the x30d and x35d?

Seems they respond well to a map too...

333/493!

Do it Will!

/EDIT Milbrook Ultima looks interesting...

535/335 were my obvious first choices, but im having to take a step back and be sensible (first time for everything!), if I wanted a high performance estate I'd just get an rs4/6 and be done with it, this car is specifically required to drive me to and from the alps/cornwall in comfort and not cost a fortune doing it.

a 335/535 is a costly car to tax and im sure its day to day running costs would be higher too

:( when did I get so dull :(

Pfft :(

Just drop to the x30d instead of x35d ;)

i chatted with foxy yesterday and talked myself out of the 530d scenario, even sold the concept to the chick too, i was going to buy and "surprise" her but that would probably have resulted in my sudden swift and painful end!

you're the devil on my left shoulder

its your fault I'm cataclysmically hungover too, "just one more will, just one more"

put it this way, i woke up in my hotel room, in the bath

just bought a 320d msport touring on a 57 plate for 16k with leather. only owned it a day but loving it :D

i was considering the 6 pot but I want mpg and 177bhp from a 59mpg car is quite frankly stunning imo :)

Economy of mine still continues to amaze me, 55mpg on a cruise no problem whasoever or 40mpg at 100mph if you're in a rush.

6 pot 325d.

thats the kind of figures I like to hear, im not used to double figure economy!

if i get the 520d its only £110 a year to tax as well, thats another thing I'm not used to - reasonable road tax pricing :p
