Codemasters F1 2010 X360/PS3 (contains important question about 2011 game!!!)

I think the damage model may have been improved in this patch. I just saw a car in practice with debris and black smoke coming out the back of it, which I'd never seen before.

Black smoke? Random lol.

Looking forward to the patch, I will probably re start the career.

Well the patch hasn't fixed the bug where the engineer says "you need to pit this lap", after I just pitted. Doesn't affect gameplay, but is annoying.

How it ever got released in the state that it did I'll never know.
I think the idea was to release some kind of product before the end of the season. There wouldn't be much point in releasing F1 2010 after the 2010 season had finished. I think Codemasters did this deliberately and probably knew about the bugs they needed to fix before the community made it explicit they weren't at all happy with the bugs. Perhaps the only thing Codemasters weren't aware of was the anger that the community showed when the bugs came to light.

Bought a PS3 and F1 yesterday. Already got an Xbox but few mates got a PS3 so wanted to race them. Got settings on Hard straight out and loving it! Only problem so far is racing in the rain is HARD!!

I put the patch on and also updated the firmware on my Fanatec wheel and between them it does seem to play better. The AI cars are much better at getting our of the way for instance in qualifying and the cars are a total handful in the wet

Is there much of a step up to Legendary difficulty?

Currently playing with all assists off, other than tyre wear and the last few races I've been comfortably winning (in my first season with Lotus).
