The once-ubiquitous Mk1 mondeo

 lol

My uncle still drives a purpleish (eggplant?) coloured one he bought brand new in 98, autobox started to slip since around 06 and hasn't gotten any worse.. 1100 or something to rebuild so when it dies its dead, guess its a MK II though if i go by Wikipedia. The auto Escort they bought brand new in 97 as well for my cousin is still going as well, autobox is iffy and grinds and clunks, sometimes not engaging from neutral to drive say 4/10 times, backseats are completely ruined from exploding paint buckets when someone hit a bump and the less than properly sealed buckets went everywhere.. happened around 05 so they weren't too bothered as by then it was a work car used by their builders (they own an Estate agency).

What is the OCUK Mondeo?
I've never heard of it!

You never got to drive the V6 twin turbo Mondeo? Bad luck, I thought pretty much everyone managed to have a go in it before Fox crashed it :(

He owes us a ten second car

I might be lying

Lopez, how did it get its war wounds? I'm guessing clipping a bridge parapet at speed or similar :D

Do you still have the famed 'How to do a burnout' vid? I think that featured the infamous Mondeo....

:D I have that video somewhere. I also have a video of "someone" in an XR4x4 doing doughnuts in a gravel carpark :D

Wasn't that a Volvo? :D

Burnout vids have been done with both the Mondeo and the Volvo. War wounds on the Mondeo were cause by a variety of impacts, details to follow!
