Judging by the sheer number of people who have vouched for this car, the photos the seller has provided and advert "spidey sense", I'm fairly confident that it is a good buy ;)

I've discussed the usual with the seller, and I'm happy based on the above and what he has told me, and made an offer on the proviso that it is as described.

You cant buy a car off words and pics thats just insane. You'll get there and it'll possibly be an absolute nail and you'll buy it because you have already made your mind up

You should go with the intention to view, not buy

If it is a nail, I'll walk away. Given its distance from me, I need to be pretty sure beforehand however.

Do you know what you're looking for?

Imports are often subject to accident repair. Does it have its import auction sheets and any jap service history, who imported it orginally, any evidence of a cambelt regardless of mileage it should have had at least one by now, UK service history, Recaro bolster wear, modifications for evidence of track abuse in japsville etc etc

Whats a grade 0? :o

In Japan, nearly all cars are sold through auction. The cars are given a thorough going over and presented with a grade. The bidder can put a fair amount of faith into the grading as its the way things are done over there and given you get about 20 seconds to bid on each car. Grade 5 is showroom, grade 1 is very poor. Grade 0 means its been in an accident. The Japanese are masters of bodge and their repaired cars will make you go pale.

I've seen their efforts first hand and its truly frightening (bent B pillar, crushed inner shell, washers used to make wings line up)
