No. The 'act' of paedophilia is being attracted to prepubescent children. That is it.
Hell, I was physically involved with my 16 year old gf when I was 18, and in SA the age of consent is 18, so technically that makes me a paedophile? Have a word!
Then it is totally wrong. This website is going to name and shape, but with that will come major uproar/problems, quite possibly as you say, even beatings/killings. People do deserve to know, however.

There has to be more reasonable thought output towards this. Not one huge list you get stuck on but seperate ones in my opinion.
The media doesn't help really but I can't quite fathom being physically attracted to prepubscent children... Quite horrific and to an extent I feel sorry for the ones who have to put up with but don't want. It's the ones that go out their way to destroy a childs life for their own selfish gain. Wether they know they are or not.

None of us can imagine it because luckily, I hope, none of us here are afflicted with it. But it must be a form of mental illness. People don't decide to do it because they think it would be fun, or they think they are above the law, etc etc as with most other crimes. They are mentally ill.
For those who suffer from this yet never, ever touch a child it must be absolutely awful.
Those who do touch children are of course no better than rapists - it's one thing to be attracted to something you shouldnt, its entirely another to act on those impulses.

Once you act, physically, your desires in this way then a harsh prison sentance and nothing less is what is required. But not all of them do. If we could treat or at least try to solve the issues of those who don't touch children but only get found in posession of filthy pictures, maybe we could try and 'cure' the problem?

Hence the large numbers of girls under 16 who get prosecuted for having underage sex.

If you was caught and then got a criminal record would that of stopped you having the job you have now have and to be in the UK?
