Call of Duty: Black Ops

Just went into Tesco in Reading and got 2100 points and the game.

Tesco order will go to a mate whos agreed to buy it. Funny thing is I probably won't play it much tonight anyway.

Yeah but if you use the points it's still a far better deal anyway. I have just done the same and will return the online one for a refund.

In multiplayer? YAY if so. I know it will be really difficult but I will actually feel in control for once.

I'll just double check 2 secs.

EDIT:

Are you guys saying that autoaim actually works in multiplayer :\?

I'm pretty sure every game that allows that sort of assist has been strictly single player only... I've not really played the last 3 CODs online so I guess I've missed that... sounds seriously stupid.

was just playing some search to see what's it like on this, and there was a kill cam the guy jump around the corner with that stupid drop shot thing, and the gun was nowhere near him,yet he was getting hit markers, and i thought mw2 was bad for hit markers, also the drop shot thing is fine on single player but why have it on this?

Tesco's seemed to drop the ball a bit on this with online orders, might have a little moan to see if they bother to give me a voucher or something. Luckily very and asda came through hunky dory :)

There's been aim assist in every COD game on console MP. Or atleast since COD4 when I started playing them.

Cheers ck88. And Zefan when you drag your crosshair over someone have you never noticed considerable slow down whilst doing so making it much easier to kill them.

meh.. I don't like it but I know I'll get kapowned with it off. I've already been 'sucked off' an opponent a few times when someone has ran past in the distance, it's quite frustrating.

Why o why does this game have to be so frantic most of the time??:(

Yeah I've noticed that a bit, it can be a bit too much at times.

Also, the game seems to want me to shoot peoples hands clean off. There's a certain bit where it doesn't matter where I shoot the enemy, his hand will still fly off - even if I shoot him somewhere else... nice work :p

Also, has anyone noticed the spectacular slowmo flying bucket :D:D?

Played a few games and it seems ok, pretty different from MW2.

Getting a Server is unavailable message now and can't get in to a game though

Servers are probably hammered, they should have thought of this though surely?

I've only played the single player, and I thought it'd be a good idea to turn the auto-aim off so I'd get a better feel for what the multiplayer would be like (not get used to the auto-aim, if you get what I mean), but if you can use auto-aim anyway with no penalty, what's the point

RC-XD = biggest fail ever. Other player on other team got majority of his kills with it, was one point where I heard it, ran, jumped out the window onto a roof and it was still following me. How does he get it so quickly each time? Is it a perk?

Well the auto-aim on singleplayer is different. You tap left trigger near an enemy and it locks onto them. I think aim-assist is also on singleplayer too so it becomes very easy. On multiplayer auto-aim is not there and now you have the ability to turn aim-assist off too. Making it pretty much like a PC version only with lesser controls.
