how many of those shots are from range? have you tried the "work the ball into box" instruction?

I got Srna for 2.6m at the end of the first season, you can get a couple of seasons out of him.
Quite a lot are from range. I have tried work ball in to box but not much luck.
I had a decent run there but am absolutely raging because we were 1-0 up against Arsenal with 10 minutes to go. Got a penalty, Rooney hit the post for the 3RD TIME TONIGHT and Arsenal scored 2 to win 2-1.

had you changed anything to try and tighten up or were you still playing the same as when you scored the goal? IE. did you come off the attack, get narrow and keep the ball?

This is where i find faults with the game, im currently playing as wolves somehow first season i finished 8th, this is without changing tactics. Next season i got a couple players in the summer the likes of Kompany, Lukaku and couple others. I played for two goals soon as i get two goals id stop attacking tactics and stick with normal or defensive but id always just invite the pressure and then concede to draw or lose the games. Its what i dont get, im sure if you go defensive players should not be getting passed around so easily at that level against teams like blackburn.
Anyway i finished 13th and got sacked lol find that abit unfair as i went for a respectable league finish and for wolves 13th is acceptible. I keep looking for threads for bargai players and there are loads! but unfortunatly everyones playing as manu/barca/mancity and think 15million is a bargain which in honesty is over paying if you dont have 80k fans a match coming to your stadium and the reputation these teams have.

oh p.s i got a youngster named witsel which got 4 young player of the month award and 2 player of the month awards also was my fans favourite but my board critisized me for signing him for 4.5mil.

Watched United this season? Seems pretty realistic to me. Several times we've held off on a lead and invited the other team to have controlling possession.
ive seeded the face pack from here to 1.1 so stopping now 
finished my first season as manu, 4th in the league and won champions league against chelski in final.
my team only really comes alive when rooney is on the pitch, really struggling for goals.
i should add that me beating chelsea in the final 2-0 made them fire ancelotti

Great start to the season so far, sat in 2nd at the moment (although I have had a much easier start to the season than the teams around me.
Had a bit of Fergie time on the match above though, scored a 95th min winner in 3 mins of injury time
Other good results include:
0-0 away to Milan (had everyone behind the ball for the last 20 mins
2-1 away to Palermo (Santa Cruz scoring a masterful winner)
3-1 at home to Juve (possibly the best performance, utterly dominated them)
Some of my signings:
Federico Fazio (500k) - Surely no defenders better in the game for that price?
Roque Santa Cruz (loan 120k up front, 2.1m option to buy) - Top scorer, has been excellent so far, again a great option for teams with lower budgets, although his wages could prove a stumbling block.
Mehdi Carcela (1.6m) - Looks a good prospect, got a great cross and excellent technique, is very lightweight though
Vaclav Kadlec (900k) - a familiar name to FM veterans, looks even better this time around, hasn't had much gametime yet.
Rivaldo (free) - Still has incredible skills and didn't demand a high wage, haven't used him a lot so far but he is my "other option" for certain games.
Daniel Schwaab (5m over 48months) - My most expensive signing, really needed a quality right back. Has been very consistent and dropped straight into the team.
We've been adopting that "hold onto what we have" thing for a while now though. You look back 6 or 7 years ago and we just hunted people down until the whistle went much akin to Chelski at the start of this season.

What the verdict on FM2011 then? Been deciding whether to purchase this or not, never really got into FM2010 as my PC was too dire and been playing 2008 for a while but very keen to get a new updated FM now I have a new speedy PC
I remember Alex Witsel from when Liverpool played Standard in the champions league, was quite impressed with him, he's the guy who broke that players leg a while back by deliberately stamping on his leg, he said it was an accident but I dont know, the way he raised his foot and stamped downwards seemed like an odd way to try and kick a ball to me.

In René Meulensteen, Manyoo have one of the best attacking coaches in the game (he and Valter Di Salvo are also my first choices for Assistant Manager). Make sure you are using him to the best of his abilities.
You don't even need to watch that to see his intention. The first frame previewed there tells you all you need to know.

Mind you, as I say, I was quite impressed with Witsels skills when I saw him play. His footballing skills I mean, not his leg breaking skills (although those are impressive too
)
