Because I have been a member of this forum long enough to know exactly how a certain segment will react, so did the OP who knew exactly what he was doing.
I was asking in what way you understand why they get bothered by it.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

Exactly. All I can say this thread is going the way exactly as he's expecting it to- people pointing fingers at each other and start arguing over nothing.Because I have been a member of this forum long enough to know exactly how a certain segment will react, so did the OP who knew exactly what he was doing.
Yes, how dare he use the headline of the article he was linking as his thread title... HOW DARE HE!

"Today’s report included a lot of information pertaining to the upcoming Radeon HD 6970 launch.
We will decode and interpret the report later tonight, but for now, we’re seeing that early tests on the first batch of production chips from TSMC are showing that it can ‘beat GTX580′.
OK, enough of the raw info, what does it mean ‘beat GTX580′?
KitGuru employs the matchplay system.
If, on a spread of top gaming benchmarks, one card wins more than the other, then it’s faster.
Gaming benchmarks does not take into account anything ‘written by AMD to make Radeon look good’. That’s a showcase, not a benchmark.
Real games, that sell in high quantity and which place demands on the features that matter – especially in DX11.
The info we’ve intercepted says that Radeon HD 6970 will beat GTX580 in a majority of benchmarks. Some statement. This will have to be severely tested.
KitGuru says: Our Dual Xeon decode system is processing as fast as we can get it. We’d expect the next revelation in less than 12 hours."

I think "nVidia Defence League" sounds better.
And what's on the other side? "ATI/AMD special Trolling Units"?I think "nVidia Defence League" sounds better.
I don't spend a lot of time in this forum (surprisingly) so maybe Ejizz has a reputation for being a troll? However, as I have not seen evidence of that, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Sad that that comes across as obtuseness. Are you being deliberately obtuse? If you wish to believe that no attempt to raise a response from the Nvidia defence force was intended then fair enough. Personally I think it was a worthy troll title, and he got exactly the reaction that he hoped for. Perhaps I am giving too much credit.![]()
It was a play on the name of this site, which has content equally mature as those who defend their favoured GPU manufacturer to the death: http://www.sonydefenseforce.com/

Are people that bothered about others suggesting a 6970 is going to be faster than a 580? My opinion is that the 6970 will be a fail if it doesn't at least equal a 580.
Generation ahead in what way? number revisions aside they are exactly the same generation feature wise and technical progress wise as the current Fermi cards. The only aspect that they are generationally better than Fermi is in the ability to drive multiple additional displays.
