So do you constructively criticise the players or basically just lift their confidence all the time?

When talking to the media I aim to be positive/neutral and avoid being negative towards my players. I find keeping morale high helps to get good performances consistently.

I only ask because players keep moaning at the lack of discipline at the club? I find players who get sent off, miss training ad so on...what else can I do?

in

sneijder 50 mill
chiellini 60mill
110mill.

They both worth £110m?

With that sort of money you could buy 7+ decent players & still have financial stability.

When playing FM I like to keep it as realistic as poss and keep the finances in check. Making a profit at Man Utd on previous games has been a difficult task in its self :p

I've yet to find some time to have a proper crack at the game yet. It does take over your life :D

I'm just starting out near the bottom too.
My plan - to take Cambridge United from BSP to Premier League.

Don't care how many seasons it takes me - but I'll do it.
I've got no money, no real wage alloance left.
But I've got a team + subs....we'll get there.

Doing ok so far with Weston-super-Mare; 13 points from 8 games and 9th in the BSS.

Was hoping to bring in a player or 2 but the board clearly aren't going to budge on their transfer kitty of £0.

Right ive got a question, does anyone know how to increase your income? i mean in other way not by winning/selling/bigger stadium but i mean in like merchandising, fund raising, sponsors (other than kit sponsor). Im still playing as wolves won the prem 3 seasons in a row league cup twice, euro cup once, fa cup once, semi final twice in the champ league so ive made a fair bit of cash but it always goes into wages which is just over 1mil a week with a cap of 1.3mil which in all honesty isnt much for a premierleague top team which means i cannot sign players like bale or tevez but obviously the younger ones. I need to increase income from other areas to help pay for wages.

Question:
Does less leagues on the go at the same time increase the chances of seeing good players?
For example, I typically have England & Spain down to their second divisions, and Italy down to C2, with Germany, France, Holland, Brazil & Argentina as viewable down to their first division.
But Ive noticed that compared to other people in previous games, finding good youngsters of the nation that my team plays in, is very hard!

Also, anyone found any good tactics/training files yet?
Ive moved my 5-2-3-1 tactic from 10, not doing too bad, but its a bit hit and miss atm. :(

The more leagues you have and the bigger database you have the more chance you have of finding better players in my experience.

Having more active teams helps too as they generate the need for the players in the first place... Getting wonder kids is really hard though, I tend to keep an eye out on random non english teams and that randomly get highly rated youngsters...

Who are you syke? Missed it.

Cheating again? :p Throughout the FM 2010 thread, me & Marc knew you were upto something with that Fulham team :p
