Any Real Ale aficionados?

Real-ale lover. If I have his image right in my head then a fleshlight will probably be a good gift. In all seriousness though the above comments are good.
 
You could look at one of the stupidly strong Brewdog beers, though they are some what more than a tenner though Penguin is around a tenner. Depends if he's an IPA/hop fan though.

You can get a 500ml bottle for £10, a few places have it online but I'd have no idea if they were reliable or not.
 
So many types of Real Ale that choosing one would be difficult and it depends on what he likes.

I love just about everything from Badger Ales though...
